Looking for some flavour knowledge

I think this question works here in this sub so here it goes …

I’m playing around with a few things for vape recipes. The question is what do you guys use or recommend to give or get a fried dough taste?

There are a few different routes to go for a fried dough. One popular route is using FA Zeppola though I never got fried dough as much as greasy dough. Another would be Capella Fried Dough though again it can be tough to work with. If you are looking for a basic donut or fried dough I’d recommend FA Doughnut Crispy.

I didn’t believe in the fried dough. Wasn’t sure if I’d like it. I feel like I definitely wanna try that FA donut crispy.

Thanks. I’ll also look into those. If you don’t have those is there a way to come close with other flavours? To get close, or are those the only way?

another option is FA apple pie
it’s the best pie crust flavor i ever tried
it’s savoury and the apple is basically non existant, no spice, not very greasy. can bend it many ways

FA Zeppola is really good but greasy its got an old fashioned donut vibe
i have a hard time tasting it though and some people get playdough

Not sure what you need the fried dough aspect for but the Donut (Chemnovatic) was about the most greasy fried that I remember but not sure if it’s even available anymore…

I haven’t tried this recipe myself because I’m missing the Raspberry FA, but it might give you some inspiration,

Thanks for that. I’m just playing around with a donut recipe in my head for now.

If you can find Nic-Vape old fashioned donut, it was my #1 on Noted (dx) but if you’re looking for a crispy fried donut, Fa zeppola 2% and Flv crispy donut at .75% works well.

Thanks for that.

There are a lot of ways and flavors that can be used to do a fried dough or donut. It depends on your preference and what you are building. In the main search on the calculator side put in fried dough and then tap the rating column at the top it brings up the top rated recipes for that profile. Look through the recipes and look at all the different types of recipes that are listed.

what is acetyl pyrazine used for? Is this an enhancer ? thanks.

A bit of information about Acetyl Pyrazine:
Acetyl Pyrazine is a flavor enhancer that adds a bready, yeasty flavor to things. It gives baking bread its characteristic delicious smell.
Used too high and you get Frito’s Corn Chips…

@Rocky02852 thanks. I couldnt figure out why I had seen it on so many recipes but none were bread orientated!! Thanks.

I bought some and never really used it. Some bakery flavor concentrates already contain it. I can smell it in some cookie flavors. Flavorah sweet crunch has it to make the cornflakes flavor I think.

Yes, as with all additives you must be aware of flavors that already contain it!

Here’s a list of TPA flavors that contain AP

(Other vendors it may be a bit harder to find out the exact ingredients…)
