I will say this for the last time. THIS JUST STARTED. The plan is to add people, we havent even had a chance to discuss anything because of all the “worries”.
None of this is set in stone at this time.

Okay. Let it be said and known. You are in the position because we the people are on this website. Not your website. Get that clear. I will not back down from a challenge. GET THAT STRAIGHT!!
NOW YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT I WOULD DO. OPEN YOUR THC LAIDEN EYES AND READ WHAT I SAID.
PUT IT TO A VOTE!
You do not scare me at all. Get gruff with me. Ban me. It will show your omnipresent power.
I just gave you all credit above. Do not make me rethink it.
Trial and error things mostly, a new mixer might teach me about some one shots or some of the new cooling agents, but trial and errors on weight vs volume vs drops, or experience with steeping or etc, its a give and take. I’d def be shoved out of line when it comes to talk about ws-23, ws-12, or ws-5 or etc, but that’s because its whats new in the scene today. vs knowledge of crystal dissolvation, menthol vs koolada, …what exactly is in polar blast? extreme ice you say? is peppermint the same as koolada?
A test driver will seek answers from peers, but should be wary of the answers as they are still students themselves. (but that’s a moral/ethics thing/personal opinion thing, not a DIY vaping mentor/new mixer thing)
This is fair. I admit it made me uneasy at first but I don’t feel like this was pushed on us. Sure it was sudden but look, it was late, they got it working and now we’re discussing it. This will work out, either this will all be fine as is or making a few tweaks or maybe finding some other method. This is really new. Let’s just see what happens.
You are just itching for a fight arent ya? Well you wont get one from me. I asked a serious question, in fact a set of them.
Ive tried to be as civil as possible, if you do not like the way JoJo and I are doing things you are free to take it up the ladder.
I really can’t believe this is happening.
Some of you should see the titles/badges/restrictions from some of these other forum sites.
Just stay calm and let the process play out.
The sad part is some of the folks i planned to add next are really against it.
I’m fresh outta likes, so I’ll have to start liking tomorrow. I hate to be the one to bring this up, but just as soon as the badges were announced, @Cutlass92’s avatar was changed, and now reminds me of a baby jesus …
New members can easily read as I did and know who is what rather quickly and easily. Like I said earlier, I received tremendous help all for NON Mentor tagged people. SO many never read and probably never will, so you can not worry about all new people.
Hanging around on the forums a few days you see who is active, who is helpful, who is friendly, and to an extent cliquiness for a lack of a better word.
If people were tagged then, I would have thought there were the most knowledgeable…so it is misleading for me. But if the forum feels they need to make a select few stand out, well then I guess that will happen. Just a shame that others with just as much knowledge imo are not tagged and some will not be I am sure.
I just do not agree with putting some members on a pedestal over others. Having mods is totally different… but selected experts? I disagree, sorry. Too much help goes on in private messages you all miss out on seeing. It’s always the same people too for me that go that extra step and made me feel welcome and that i came to the right forum.
I’m sure @Ken_O_Where and @JoJo put many hours of thought into this. Keeping a rapidly expanding forum civilized, and under control cannot be an easy task. I tip my hat to you both, for the efforts. It’s appreciated.
I have a question for both of you. Are the comments and responses received so far, pretty much what you expected? Still too early to tell?.. just curious.
Ok, this and I need to detach. If I respond that is a gift from me. No strings attached. Nobody has to take my advice to make me die happy. If I worried about who would listen to me and who would not I would never comment. I hate commenting now because this is so important to some, but that was just one more gift. I’m gonna see who has good sales…
i think i share everyone’s concerns i truly do. but we need to let this play out. it may be the best thing for the forum, or it could be a horrible idea but we won’t know unless we try it so let’s give it a chance to work or not. that being said i believe mentor may be the wrong name for it, possibly a more well known term for what your going for. IE seasoned, experienced, old hand, proficient, practiced. those are a few of the terms that i believe align a little better with what you are going for @Ken_O_Where @JoJo
contributor , gold member , silver member , cant talk about mods bc its a mixing site the shit is deep when it comes to other places , contributor thats could be offensive especially since anyone who gives an opinion contributes anyway i hope this gets settled …
Yes and no. It is impossible to please everyone but i am surprised by a few, they were next but time was short so we decided to roll with what we had to start. Im certainly glad that i opened it up for discussion.
Where were you last night… hehe. Old Hand or Old Hat isnt bad, i rejected experienced because it was kinda bland.
Cant tell you how much regret not choosing Wizard right now.
i told ya my suggestion but after thought, mentor would fit best as it implies helpful.
i was on discord talking to you about a one shot.
Shit, busted…
No body questioned you as a mod. I think maybe you need to reevaluate your thinking. I gave you and @JoJo the proper respect that you deserved. You read your statement, that I quoted above, and tell me how anyone else here would not have taken that as a challenge.
Also no one said anything about failure. Get your head out of your ass. We just said we do not like it. We as a collective have a right too. This is a home to a lot of us. This where we can come together and say what ever it is we want. Repeat or not! Wether or not it is popular or unpopular. Remember we the people of this website has a voice to. If you forget that, then you need to step down. Remember you were in the trenches too. Remember you were a new person once. Remember you did not know how to navigate the site and asked beginner questions. The people on here badge or no badge came to your aide.
Hmmm. 153 posts. Interesting read for sure. Not sure how I feel. Honored, sure why not. Surprised…yeah. Personally I am not always sure where I stand in the forums. (Third person voice coming). Chrispdx just thinks he’s here to help.
That being said…I get all the negative comments and agree with some and understanding of many.
Now the HR side of me (yup do it as a profession). I would say look at the other side of the coin. Would you say someone with a “mentor” badge today shouldn’t have one. Would you say those “mentors” didn’t help you out when you first joined last week, last month, last year or two? Sure there are many who helped my over two years ago…and everyone helps everyone. Lol. Ow I am rambling but I made my point or provided a different perspective.
