The only reason I am even keeping this up is that I think the newer person will get screwed.

You can quit trying to goad me into a pecker hanging contest, it aint happening.
And ill say this, ive been around the interwebz since long before this one existed. One thing you learn about forums is that people come and go, the moderators and owners of said forums choose the direction in which it goes. So many times ive seen members try to put themselves in the driver seat, its never ever works out.
BTW, when i was asking questions about this place there were no badges, it was day one stuff as it was the first day of the forums.
One last thing to everyone. There are a LOT of changes coming.

not exactly , its a comparison to ease the situation i believe , for all the i dont cares out there seems to be a lot of caring , im on board for. whatever improves the site and if this could help one person then thats good , i dont see where it hurts ( except for maybe feelings ) which it shouldnt , seriously i think ELR is amazing but i think a lot of stuff need to be reeled in , just my opinion , i also think no matter what is suggested there will always be push back , and thats a shame because honestly we dont really have to be given the option to discuss this so a big kudos to the MODS ā¦ i support our mods whatever they decide and i support daath with his choices and i do believe if the concerns started to come true over time things would change so whats the real problem ??? the word mentor ? the flask by the name ? this cant be that controversial

Skull is a passionate person sticking up for the newer folks who may also have great insights and trying to avoid exactly the kind of arrogant pontificating that certain people canāt seem to refrain from.
Look, I get why this could be a good idea and I get why it makes people uneasy. Itās really HARD to be a mod. Harder than most people can understand. Letās just relax and see how this all works out.
