So mixing again for the 1st time in a while I am finding more problems, just got my Raspberry Candy (FA) out to mix with for a friend & go to check my notes & percentages & poof it’s gone, I am wondering just how many of my flavours have just vanished without a trace & the valued notes along with them.
I did find one flavour listed for this “Raspberry Candy ( framboise) FA” which has no decent notes, I got this one direct from FA for beta testing & was one of a few mixers that did & there were a few notes listed for it, sadly now all seemingly gone.

@Frunkster are you in the UK ?? I didn’t even know FA had a RB Candy, and I couldn’t find it on any of my US resellers.

Yes i’m in the UK, I gave the lions portion away as it’s a flavour I don’t really use, I did keep 10ml in case, but I could get a photo of the bottle off the person I passed it along to as I luckily remember who it was (why can’t I remember what I did 10 minutes ago though - life)
I sadly can’t find the notes for it in my backed up files either which sucks big time, figured they were complete urgh, waste of time there, thanks so much for this great merge guys it really is helping sooooooooooo much

@Frunkster, I noticed NomNomz has a few new FA flavours in and I’m pretty sure they had the Raspberry Candy that you mentioned. I feel so sorry for you and Session Drummer after all of the hard work that you have both put in doing all of those single flavour tests and writing the notes only to have some of it wiped out just like that, it must be so disheartening for you. It’s also a loss for us mixers that rely on your notes for guidance and we have lost a great recourse.

You can find a few of your flavor notes in our private FB messages, when we talked about certain flavors. It is only a few recipes, but it might help you recover a few. It is devastating to hear that your valuable notes are lost.

It is what it is & unless they can reverse whats been done we’ll just have to forge ahead & hope.
Thanks @KC111 it’s appreciated, I thought I had every single flavour backed up, it’s still possible I put the FA Raspberry Candy notes in a wrong section, but fingers crossed I must have 99% of my notes backed up, so happy I did now.
@Lucas_James_Holden it is frustrating, but no point dwelling on what can’t be undone mate, managed to get some mixing done the other night, still not sure what to do about SFT’ing & notes as I have a tonne more flavours here to get done.

I’m certainly not knocking anyone as I can only imagine the nightmare involved in trying to clean the database up but I too have noticed some flavours disappear, become invalid or merge with a flavour I don’t even own.
However as I’m a computer idiot I still use pen and paper and have every flavour I’ve owned notes written in my ‘vape book’, every recipe I want to try in another book and every recipe I’ve tried and liked in yet another book.
I’ve just tried to put some notes in against TFA Butterscotch 2 and noticed it’s disappeared and became TFA Butterscotch DX which I don’t own. I was going to re enter it but thought better of it and just deleted the DX entry. I will admit that I’ve found this a little annoying but I completely understand it’s been done with the best intentions and as I say can’t imagine the monumental and thankless task it is.
I originally started doing this as I simply thought that no matter what happens unless I lose the paperwork I won’t lose any notes or recipes. As I say I wouldn’t trust myself to use the more modern way only in the first place anyway.
This must be the first time I’ve ever been glad about my computer illiteracy.

I see the relentless march into oblivion seems to be continuing after Wayne kindly cross checked this weeks CSV export against last weeks for me (thank you so much Wayne!!)
Here’s what has changed in my stash this week (joy!) I have always been a staunch supporter of ELR & even I am having thoughts about jumping ship & hopping on to ATF which I really do not want to.
Admittedly the Raspberry Candy was something I added back in, but only due to is disappearing.

Coconut Cookie (SSA) now, was COCONUT CREAM SSA 1% ← with notes. No idea if that was a merge.
Doughnut (Invalid/ Unknown brand/ No recipes) was your Glazed Doughnut (CFL)
Glazed Doughnut (CFL) missing from current file
Irish Brown NET (BCL) now, was Irish Brown (BCL)
Propylene (Use ELR default) now, was Polypropylene Glycol
Raspberry Candy (Framboise) (FA) now added
Red Velvet Tobacco (SSA) which was RED VELVET TOBACCO SSA 1% now removed
Sweet Cream (Cornish Liquids) now, was SWEET CREAM CL 4% (Cornish liquids) added

Hey Wayne deserves all the credit here as I am not tech savvy enough to figure out the cross referencing of the CSV export lists.
I just wish this would end & they do some form of reboot to put it back the way it was, yes it had issues, but as I have said previously, those issues could be worked round, this is just a total dogs dinner of a cluster fuck & it’s getting worse by the day, notes now showing on incorrect flavours ?? flavours being totally removed/renamed & merged, it just makes no sense whatsoever.
@TorturedZen & @Ken_O_Where - I am imploring you to please reconsider the work you are doing & wait to see if Lars can put things back the way they were.
