Don’t know about nicotine but I take 1000mg a day to control my cholesterol. After effects is flushing for about 2 hours.

You’re damn right it is @rcleven. Back when I was working out hard, part of the regimen was a lot of niacin, and no matter how long I took it, or how “used” to it I became, I always got flushing.

I been taking it about 5/6 years now. I would rather flush than not be able to walk. The other drug I was prescribed made me have to sit down every two blocks and rest before I could walk another 2 blocks and rest.
How the FDA could allow that drug on the market still befuddles me.

It lowered my total cholesterol about 200 points at 1000mg. It’s tedious especially with vaping but like I said it’s better than not walking because the other drug kills mussel tissue.
