Nicotine Tax

Alright I didnt find this so I’m posting it…Can someone smarter than me estimate the cost of a liter 100mgml strength

Congress’ tax -writing committee passed the “ nicotine vaping tax ” measure, the first of its kind, which goes beyond taxing traditional tobacco products. The levy will essentially add a tariff of “$50.33 per 1,810 mg” of liquid nicotine , which comes out to approximately $1.15 per 5% nicotine Juul pod

Ya we talked about it briefly in another thread.

for each 1810mg = $50.33
so 1 lt of 100mg nic or 1000x100 = 100000mg of nic

100000/1810 = 55.2486

55.2486 x $50 = $2,762.43 in tax alone added to a bottle
$2,762.43 + what u pay for nic now == new price

That seems absurd… I get the math but im not sure these idiots understand that they are taxing a product like that as a matter of fact im not sure they can tax a product like that. @Nicotine_River what is your take on this new tax ???

Do we have any other Nicotine suppliers in the forum

@fidalgo_vapes I show that is a 0.027 (3 cents) tax per ml. That comes out to a $27.80 per Liter increase. Haven’t read relations to strengths.

Every 1810 mg costs $50.33 in tax so every 18.1ml of 100 mg/ml is gunna cost an extra $50.33

Several committee members took issue with the proposed tax despite the expected billions in revenue, though, because the bill did not address illicit products, like the main psychoactive chemical in marijuana, THC. Most Republicans on the committee said that THC should be addressed rather than legal nicotine, as most vaping-related injury patients were found to have used THC products before getting sick.

Several Republicans said the bill as written would not prevent future lung injury cases or remedy the teen vaping epidemic.

$27.807 per Gram of Nicotine. One Liter of 100 mg/ml contains ~100 Grams of Nicotine. Thus, $2,708.70.

Is this Tax a Tobacco tax??? Or a liquid nicotine tax ??? If it’s under Tobacco then maybe companies like Chemnovatic will have a loophole since they fall under pharmaceutical

Absolutely! They only need a good Propaganda campaign and target minorities like smokers or vapers and their gold.
