That’s a great recipe too!
I mixed up quite a bit of that during my first year or so.
I miss him…i still wonder what happened and if hes ok
That’s an interesting question. I’ve always answered Fruits and some Savories, but that’s based on what I’ve been able to get from vendors that have offered flavored shots and have been able to taste.
Two things I know I’ll never vape is Tobaccos and Coffee-flavored vapes. Really anything else is open. I know I’d like to try some different Lemonade recipes I’ve seen, as well as some Desserts in addition to the Fruits I’ve been vaping. One thing I almost was able to taste was when I combined a vanilla with an almond e-juice. I’m not sure what concentrates I’d have to combine to get an almond-y vanilla (vanilla-y almond?), but I’d like to find out.
Touche, I think that recipe I posted was for 250 mls.
So do I. He was the first mixer I followed. I remember him saying that he was done and wasn’t going to be showing up anymore He didn’t reference anything in particular, just a feeling of having enough of the forum. Like he had given all he had to give.
One thing I’ve learned about DIY is never say never. Menthol cigs made me gag but low n behold I vaped a menthol honeydew flavor and liked it! Who knew? Things I don’t care for in real food flavors have proved to be vapeable for some reason. I’m more open to flavors now.
Vanilla and almond are an age old pair. You’ll find those flavors together in so many food recipes it’s not funny. A perfect pair. Cherry fits in nicely with those as well. Here’s an easy mix that you could add Shisha Vanilla (INW) to. It’s by Alisa, called Almond Cream Soup.
I purposefully avoided Tobacco flavors when I started vaping because I didn’t want to be tempted to go back to smoking. Now the smell of cigs and even Tobacco e-juice grosses me out. As for coffee…eww, I can’t stand walking down the coffee aisle at grocery stores. With so many other flavors out there, I’ll give those a miss.

The Almond and Shisha Vanilla I’ve got, but what Brand is YC? I don’t have a single recipe favorited that has anything made by them in it.
Is there anything that can be substituted for the Creme Brulee?
Yc is actually a line from inawera
YC stands for Yummy Classic.
WG is WeraGarden.
…and there’s more.
But think of it like Silverline: by Cap, or DX: by TFA. It’s just another way to distinguish one line from another within the same brand.

WeraGarden I’ve seen. I’ve never run into Yummy Classic, though.
Part of my frustration with Inawera early in (both as a mixer, and then as a ‘flavor curator’) was the fact that a LOT of the retailers don’t identify which variant they were selling.
Back when RTS was still in business, I bought Ina raspberry from them, and it was smashingly spectacular!
Unfortunately, it was bought on a 70% off clearance sale. So I couldn’t continue to order it from them. Nor were they able to tell me which variant it was.
At the time though, Ina listed at least three raspberry variants on their site, and I had no way of knowing which one I fell in love with.
By means of comparison, and in talking with forum friends here, it had to be one of two: either regular Malina or the WG version (which is reportedly the same formula, but stronger concentration than the regular).
It was at that point that I started to take note of the differences between lines, etc. (It’s also the reason there are different listings in the database)

I was just thinking that as I was reading your post when you addressed that point. When I was looking up Creme Brulee I saw there was one for Inawera and YC Inawera. When searching on ELR I look for a combo of a large number of recipes and high marks. The regular Creme Brulee has more stars, but the YC has more recipes, so I would’ve looked at the YC’s Notes and Recipes between the two. But it is very confusing.
This reminds me, can RF (Reduced Flash, or something like that) flavors be used the same way as their non-RF equivalents? I accidentally bought CAP Sweet Strawberry RF and don’t know if it’s usable in the same amounts in recipes.

Agreed @Sprkslfly.

Being that this is in your reply to me, I can only say I don’t know, as I haven’t used any of the few of Cap’s Reduced Flashpoint flavors.
They do have less alcohol in them by design (primarily for air transport purposes I assume), so given the base carrier is different, I am leaving room for the possibility that they could be different.
No idea about the reality.
Hopefully someone else can help you with that.

I use both the normal and the RF versions of CAP Sweet Strawberry. I find the RF seems stronger and is slightly “greener” to my tastes, however I do use it as a 1 to 1 sub for the normal. Just mixed something today using both and they work together quite well too if you end up getting the normal in the future.
Actually, I have both. This is embarrassing, but I’ve got several duplicate flavors. (and now I can add CAP Sweet Strawberry to my duplicates list) Most were due to when I was buying flavors during Black Friday. I had thought I’d removed flavors from my ELR Shopping List once I’d added them to a cart. Apparently, I forgot to a few times.
I just bought two flavors when I was buying nicotine and discovered that while they weren’t in my Flavor Stash they were on my Google Doc Flavor List. I haven’t a clue how I managed that. I’ve got several dozen more flavors on my Google Doc list that aren’t in my Flavor Stash. (duplicates aren’t included in total count)
This is embarrassing, but I’ve got several duplicate flavors.
Hehe @FL_Vaper no no, you’ve got BACKUPS now.
Yeah? And how much Acetyl Pyrazine do you think I’ll use? That stuff is used by the bucketload, right? SMH
The duplicates aren’t that much of a concern because at least I won’t run out of those. What I’m mystified about are the “missing” flavors between my Flavor Stash and my Google Doc list. How are they so incredibly different? If I’m already so disorganized, what hope is there for me down the road?
I saw there was one for Inawera and YC Inawera.
Hi @FL_Vaper Sorry, I just saw your reply but I see you got answers from others. Sometimes in the ELR database flavor names get confusing because they are input by users who sometimes misspell or type the wrong label name. I ran into the same thing with FA Maple and FA Maple Syrup. One has more stars than the other but the truth is there is only one FA Maple and that’s FA Maple Syrup. My bottle says syrup and so do the FA bottles on the FA website.
The forum staff are working on cleaning up the database so everything is uniform. But this will take a long time because of the thousands of entries.

I’ll take a bottle
