Whats up everyone, im new here. I might have been on here a long long time ago but dont remember. I dont know if any of you remember me. My name was str8v8ping on ECF and Nuvapor. I started vaping around 2009 or 2010 and was one of the Og’s in Diy and mod building. I was a vendor on Nuvapor selling my juice line and custom mods from around 2011 to 2013 or14. Still tons of my posts up on ecf. I loved helping people in diy and making new recipes. I stopped vaping around 2015 due to some things that happened. I tried to start again around 2018 but didnt stick but i just started vaping again beginning of the year and got back into diy again. I always missed it and enjoy it. Im getting all caught up with the new flavoring companies. Where do i buy boge cartos these day ? Jk. Anyway just wanted to introduce myself since you will prob be seeing me around here. .My name is Chris btw lol.

Same here. I use to do group buys for them on ecf and have like 3 unopened cases still. This whole year i was using pod devices and testing recipes in bogeson a old provari but im just getting into rdas again. I just got a hadely rda but i need to get coils. I only have 1 coil

Don’t know where you are so I’m guessing the US. Do you have a preference of OHMs? You can try Coiloptium They are mostly a wire company but sell premade coils in multi configurations. They have sales just about every week at 40 percent off.

Are you mouth to lung? 0.4 Ohm will be fine. A two coil build at 0.4 will give you a 0.2 Ohm build. A good

Do you prefer kanthal ni80 or ss for flavor? The coil i have on the hadaly i cant sewm to get very good flavor with and i know the juice is super flavorfull cuz its amazing in my vapresso xr max and my caliburn a3s . The coil is a coilology framed staple ni80 3mm .3ohm. I tried getting the coil lower, playi g with the wattage, more cotton , less cotton. I dont know what it is. Im about to place a order with wireoptim for sone wire. Got some 40 28 ss fused 2 core and some 38 / 32 n80x2 +3 fused in the cart.
I make my own coils. I taste the kanthal when vaping so I avoid it. I use more 316l Stainless steel than NI80 because I use Evolve chips in a few of my mods. It has the cleanest taste of the three to me. It works well with temperature control on any mod. NI80 has a clean taste but only works with TC if the mod has the option. All three cost the same per roll. With your dripper all three are a option for you. Kanthal heats the fastest of the three. NI80 second fastest and then SS .
I like the coil type you are using. They fire fast and don’t need high wattage to get good flavor. Perhaps try cutting down your air flow. Framed Staple Clapton’s have always been tasty for me but most of my RTA’s/RDA’s are smaller at 24/25mm.
I’m a direct to lung vaper. I like a cooler vape so I like to build for the 0.2 Ohm range + or - depending on what material I’m building with.
The 2) 28/40 3.5 ID SS will serve you well. A pair should be around 0.24 Ohms. They will be a little flimsy if you try putting too much cotton thru them. I run them exclusively in my Steam Crave Plus because they have a smaller air chamber and 30mm. I don’t know your RDA and don’t how hot you like to vape but a 28mm RDA should be able to take two tri cors at 3.5mm ID depending on what deck design you have. They will be stiffer and easyer to build with.
I have a Hadaly and I build so the coiling rod sits on the outer edges of the atty, and get great flavor with that 2x28/40 SS.
Nichrome 80 (NI80/NiCr80) is not a TC material so is watts only.
Not officially. I have a few mod that have a TCR mode. I have never used it but the mod Mfg. Claims it’s temp control for Kanthal and Nickel chrome. They mention it in the instructions but don’t explain it. GeekVape calls it TC-NI and Lost Vape calls it just NI.
