Photos of your latest hobby work!

:rofl::rofl::rofl: You just have to dress for the occasion… fleece lined pants, wool socks, warm jacket and hat (with a vape) keep me pretty warm.

That does sound pretty good. I guess part of the reason I’ve put off doing that is because I don’t like being in the woods when it’s all cold and dead. Not a whole lot of evergreens around here. It just seems so empty without all the birds singing, and bugs and sunlight, the warm breeze or the woodsy, delicious smelling, wonderful humid hot air. It’s like paradise. Why isn’t it summer yet. :skull_and_crossbones:

And you made that from a wood pallet didn’t you?!

So far all the wood I’ve used is from pallets and some scraps that are laying around the house. There’s a super nice pallet I found in a dumpster near by. I gotta go pick it up soon.

Here is a little black and white edit from a failed sunrise trip. Failed in the sense that I didn’t catch cool red/orange/pinks. It was still a good day with the pup.

I am using a Sony a7rIV with a 24-70 mm lens. Although I may use fancy equipment…my old sony5100 (1/100th of the price) would have done just as good.

As for editing I use dxo photo labs, and for the black and white I used their silver effects add on.

Ultimately it’s the final edit from raw that helps with the end result…with the first being at that spot in that moment in time (to include waiting for light, slight changes in weather, and etc).

The middle part of the process with gear only does so much. But the upgrades do help with being able to crop photos keeping the clarity.

Ah hah!!! I don’t know what it is, but when I looked at that photo the first thing I thought was that’s got to be from a Sony camera. I guess my eyes were right.

I really wanna get an old Sony alpha. Since Sony bought out Konica Minolta they began using their technology in their alpha line. Something about the way it takes photos, It’s just adds a very specific look to the photos, I love it. Seems like to this day they still utilize part of whatever magic is in that technology. I can see it in the photo of your dog.

You should…only because there are so many affordable good lenses from third party manufactures (sigma and Tamron for example) to pick from.

Awesome. Ive spent a few hours looking around at cameras and lenses. I was gonna buy used ones, but I’ll definitely keep those two brands in mind.

I imagine these probably don’t look too great on a PC because I draw them on my phone. But here’s a couple more. I might revisit them to improve… When ever Im ā€œdoneā€ though it’s kinda hard to go back. I always start something else. Two of these are of photos I took, the middle one is just a random one.

Finally after 40+ days I made my first sourdough recipe. No bread yet because it takes up a lot of hours…which I didn’t realize, BUT, I baked some Reeces chip cookies tonight :tada: :cookie::cookie:

I didn’t think I could actually do this. I definitely cant do real paint, I’ve tried to. I need an undo button. This app also has a color selector for the reference photographs, I wouldn’t be able to get the colors right either.

I made anotha one.

Its a rest day… And I feel like I’m on a roll here. I usually don’t have the motivation to keep churning stuff out.
