Private Recipes Sneak Peek (WIPs) Part II

Trying this for the first time today after mixing it up a week ago, first impressions are the bakery aspects need a little help…I’m thinking half a percent of acetyl pyrazine maybe? Idk, it’s pretty tasty other than being a little weak in the fritter department

Perhaps!
I also like FA Cookie (between 2-3% depending on the recipe) to cover fritter or… Damnit!! the name escapes me lol. (thinking about peaches in crust desert) not a pie, but… UGGHHH hopefully you get what I’m referring to.

I already have zeppola in there at 3%, I don’t know if I should push it higher than that, it’s a newer flavor for me and I haven’t taken it beyond 3% yet…I still have fa cookie in my flavor list but I’m all out, I have replaced it with JF cookie and I think it does everything I need better than fa does

Do you think cookie would work better than AP? I have no idea, AP is a very new flavor to me, honestly I haven’t even sft’ed it yet, but I did try it in someone else’s recipe with all the other flavors being familiar to me, it seems to add a buttery almost crispy taste to a cap sugar cookie based mix…

Personally I would start @.25pct witI the AP it could definetely be pushed up but when other flavors have it in them it can do the same as addin EM to flavors that already contain it

That’s smart advice, I was thinking half because that’s where I tried it in a shortbread recipe and it was great lol I’m a weirdo though, one of my adv’s has 2% joy in it…

I like to use AP when a bakery , popcorn or ice cream vone needs a bump… I actually like the smell of AP its so yummy lol too high though it get a weird taste to me and not just corn chips more of a chemical off note

I need to try Joy again … I cant get past the stale beer smell though lol …

@fidalgo_vapes I vape this stuff daily lol it seems high but when you combine joy with meringue it creates the crispy greasy powdered sugar coated outside of a fresh beignet

I do, but that’s just me.
I would say that AP can help… It has never really resonated with me as a “bakery”. Where cookie instantly did. Perhaps a combination of both?

Whatever the case, I agree with fiddy. I’d go low on the AP ((0.2-0.3) and perhaps 1.5% on Cookie to start… But it all depends on “how far off” or how close you already are.

It’s fairly decent right now, but it’s closer to blueberry pie as far as bakery to fruit ratio goes.

You really should!
It’s extremely potent though. I love it in several of my ADV variations of Rupert’s Jizzle Dizzle (Jammy Donut). An awesome base IMO.
I have raspberry, blueberry, and peach variations in constant use. :tada:

Ya i just have to remember to not inhale thriugh my nise while mixing… I think a lot of the reason why I taste the stale beer is bc it smells that way so it stays in my head lol

Now that i think about it I may have sent that off when I purged my flaves last time … Will need to check

I will second joy being very strong, outside of the geography clone recipe I have never used it above 0.5%, and at that level it adds yeast to a heavy cinnamon roll recipe lol it took me weeks to getting around to trying @InsigmaTheory original geography clone because of the % of joy, I almost didn’t mix it at all

Yes sir!!
That’s the original!

That Joy, Jelly Candy, CDS combo is a strong foundation to build on IMO.

I’ve had several very happy results with those three as a base. (Thanks again to @woftam turning me on to the original recipe)

I prefer FLV Frosting (at 0.3-0.5%) though (in place of the LA CCI), and my usual Ina/FA strawberry ratio for that portion.

I have been replacing cci with frosting in the exact same way lol, for extra fun try using frosting with 1% OOO powdered sugar, makes for a lovely icing:)
