I’ve already added the one’s I’ve found to the database…
Look for them to make their way to your favorite vendor(s) soon! (If they’re not already there)
I was looking at Cap Lemon Meringue pie this week and noticed that all three versions contain lemon oil. I wondered that given the illegal cart lung issues, could there be any associated risks with these products. I reached out to Dr Konstantinos Farsalinos with the following message and response. His response is not exactly clear but he feels that natural (oils?) should not be utilized.
“I’ve been vaping for 5 years and mix my own e-liquid. I have a question for you with respect to flavorings; Do you think there are any concerns with flavors like Capella Lemon Meringue Pie (all three versions), state they have a lemon oil component in their EU specification sheets. I know other common flavorings also have orange, lime, etc “oils” also listed as components, and wondering if these are tolerable for human inhalation?”

> I have no idea what they refer to and what is the content of their liquids. My suggestions have always been consistent. Avoid natural extracts and use synthetically produced natural flavors, plus use the simplest flavoring possible
I like Flavor Wests transparency on their Saftey Sheets also.
Already went through most of Flavor Wests Data Sheets, and noted which ones had OIL. (Except Tobacco flavors - don’t use them) Wish other companies would disclose all the ingredients, So we can make better informed choices.
Also was looking and found it hard to find almost any companies MINT type flavors that didn’t contain some kind of peppermint or spearimint oil. Menthol seems to be different since it uses crystals.
Sounds right, what is MF? LorAnn oil based (among other concentrates) are known to be avoided when vaping, why wouldn’t anything with lemon oil as an ingredient also be avoided? I quickly looked for specifications on FA Lemon Sicily, but haven’t seen a breakdown of the ingredients.
Hmn … if you look at the price per bottle, sure. They’re very potent though, so your end product won’t be that expensive. They cost less than the average 60ml e-liquid bottle and you can make soooo much more with their concentrates.
Understood, but experimenting with new flavorings at $24/15ml is a fairly steep investment.I don’t buy commercial e-liquid so the comparison doesn’t apply for me.
I am pretty sure you will find that while oil is used in the making of the flavour there is no actual oil left in the finished product - is it safe? Not sure not a doctor.
