PSA: Capella is now selling v3 flavors.... (and other recent additions))

Hmn … if you look at the price per bottle, sure. They’re very potent though, so your end product won’t be that expensive. They cost less than the average 60ml e-liquid bottle and you can make soooo much more with their concentrates.

Understood, but experimenting with new flavorings at $24/15ml is a fairly steep investment.I don’t buy commercial e-liquid so the comparison doesn’t apply for me.

I am pretty sure you will find that while oil is used in the making of the flavour there is no actual oil left in the finished product - is it safe? Not sure not a doctor.

Thanks @Sprkslfly
@Plunderdrum: don’t get excited. None of these new four is PG-free. I just checked :frowning:

Looks like we’re stuck with MF :grinning:

4 posts were merged into an existing topic: Medicine Flower contains PG

This was such a nice thread about Capella, can we tidy this back up and move some stuff to the MF has PG thread, please?

I wonder if there are any significant flavor changes in the V3 as well. Could be worth a try.

The V3 are just EU and TPB compliant basically, nothing special or different about them.

Can you explain why other flavors wouldn’t be TPD compliant?
(they do not fall under the TOBACCO Products Directive?)

According to my conversation with Capella they removed CMR1&2 and STOT1 on the V3s but I do not know why the others wouldn’t be but I would only assume they contain those compounds

OK, I’m with you on EU regulations but food flavorings really aren’t in the scope of the TPD.
If I understand you correctly, CMR means Carcinogenic, Mutagenic or Toxic for reproduction but what is STOT1?

Specific target organ toxicity it i think. I assume the 1 means category 1

there is a table about halfway down the page (I dont know if the categories are different elsewhere)

Reached out to Capella re my question (which is probably answered by the ethyl alcohol distillation of the essential oils but want to hear it from them) - stay tuned"
> Hi, I’ve been wondering about the following question and would really appreciate an answer:
> I’ve noticed a number of your citrus flavors (and perhaps others) have natural oils listed on the specifications/safety sheet documentation. For example Juicy Lemon lists LEMON OIL ARGENTINA - KERRY Cas# 8008-56-8 %5 - < 10. My question is are all the oils removed before the final product is finished (in other words are they just utilized to extract the aromas {which are water soluble} leaving the oil portion behind?

Thank you for reaching out to us. This is a great question!
I’ve added our Regulatory Specialist here to help assist with your inquiry and will receive a response soon.
In you have any further questions, please let us know.
Thanks,

Tanya

Vaping any oil causes oil deposits in the lung. The lungs do not clear out oils well. For sure, oil in the lungs cause fatty pneumonia that are almost impossible to treat and there is no way to get the oils back out of the lungs. This is well documented in thousands of medical journal articles. Please be smart about vaping, it would be sad to loose the option of not smoking because of ignorance.
