we are taxed on nicotine per mg now and capped at 20mg.
So 1 litre of 20mg is now 100$ after many price hikes and the tax on it is about 120$ so 220$ total.
I used to buy 1 litre of 100mg for 120$ here now it’s that just in taxes. like 120% tax basically

There are still shops all over the place though some of the og ones are gone. Many new ones have a lot of non nicotine vape stuff for sale. Three new places opened up within the last year that aren’t more than a 15 minute drive for me.
You can still find some rebuildable stuff here and there but not so much at the newer places.
My understanding is that the 40% tax was challenged in court and amended to only vape-ready devices/kits - mod (no battery?) or tank only for example should not have the 40% tax applied.

100ml commercial juice and 5 packs of factory coils typically run around $25 (+/- a couple $) at most places that I’ve been to. I’ve only bought two bottles of commercial in the last year though.

Here’a crazy sad story. I was just gifted 2.5L of 100mg/ml, 2L of 60mg/ml, and 500ml of 48mg/ml from a stranger, now a friend.
She is disabled, wheelchair bound and deaf. Her worry was the cost and way to dispose of it as she’s signed up for MAID. All the nic is sealed, and lived in her freezer.

Talking of tax, here in the Uk we are having tax added from October 2026 and its gonna make a huge difference, they are even including nicotine free liquids and so shortfills etc but also diy flavours and it states all diy liquids which am hoping wont include pg vg etc given the tax is £2.64 per every 10ml. Thats with the added vat. Which would make a average shortfill currently costing around £12.99 plus 99p each nic shot to a wopping great £39.99 plus for the nic shots £3.63 each. Total money grabber and is infuriating! They’ve included diy to apparently prevent people making their own and not buying commercial and avoiding tax.

States, Counties a local Municipalities can make “Propositions”. Like: Should we make it illegal to sell flavored cigarettes? Including Menthol! These a-holes said, yes. A LOT of flavored e-liquids are illegal to purchase too. $100 for a carton of cigarettes.
I understand wanting people to quit smoking but don’t people vape to quit smoking? Last time I bought flavors I just had my kid in Michigan buy some and ship it to me.

Erm no… we don’t get to vote on any proposals by the government!! The new tax is totally disproportionate compared to the marginal increase they are putting on cigarettes. Vaping last year was really slated on news articles etc and I had to switch off from it all because it was all talking about the illegal disposables they seized etc. Not about the benefits of Vaping. This new tax levy is supposed to be preventing youths taking up Vaping because of the increased cost! It’s obviously the government’s way of making up the loss of tax from cigarettes because apparently 3 million plus people in the uk have quit smoking by vaping in the last 4 years. But they probably now thankfully won’t bring in a flavour ban because they have done the tax and would have lost millions with banning flavours. Have to say given the choice I prefer to pay tax then have all flavours including diy flavours banned.

And cigarettes are way dearer here than where u r! I quit last march but back then a packet of what i smoked cost £16 so x 10 a carton works out £160! About $198!!

are leading the world when it comes to MAID. If she doesn’t need actual medical support, she’s on her own.
Sorta goes like this. You’re in the hospital with a hangnail - we can offer you MAID. Veteran that physically cannot leave their second floor apartment - we can offer you MAID. I agree with MAID for the terminally ill, not for those with economic hardship.
We’re talking Canada, and our delayed laws are going to open it an even greater audience.

Republicans and their right to life will never let that fly “Federally”. We do a lot of complaining here, but we do have it pretty good over all. In my not-so-humble-opinion.
We do get to vote for the lesser of 2 evils. Like a lot of other Countries… LOL. But each State has it’s own Governor and States can create laws that say screw the Feds. Like pot. Federally it’s illegal, but a lot of states have said, screw you!
We tax it, but not outrageously, millions of non violent prison inmates have been released… Saves tax payers a lot of $$$.
'Ya know? I keep forgetting other countries know a whole lot more about US politics, geography…etc. than do the vast majority of our population. We don’t know JACK about other Countries.

Yeah… So some flavors don’t do well at higher temperatures. It depends on the the ohms too. I keep it over simplified in the way I do it, I just know that around .30 ohms at 55.5 watts will deliver the flavor i like the most. Or if I’m using a .26 ohm coil, I bump it to 60 watts. Flavors taste best to me when I keep wattage lower. Lower ohms require higher wattage, but not too high. I think that “throat hit” you describe may be the juice actually burning. I could be wrong though. That’s pretty high to me though.
Of course, that’s only what I know personally.

Okay, so batteries will last longer if you don’t charge them inside of the vape. I don’t know what you do, or how old your batteries are. If you just charged them then something must not be right. It’s better to get a stand alone charger just for the batteries.
