Awww, thanks guys! I’m sure I will be fine. And I think I have enough juice mixed for a few weeks, maybe…lol.
Just going to give me more time to wok on my plan of attack for the Black Friday Sales mwahahahahaha!!!

I’m trying to use the discount code but I guess it’s been disabled?
Hey, @Walt_RealFlavors. So I’ve been recommended by many to check out RF for some time now, and many of those who recommended you guys to me rave about your products. I picked a few of the VG based concentrates a couple months ago and felt as if I was maybe using them incorrectly. I just couldn’t get any type of flavor from them. Then I was told the PG ones are much more vibrant so I’ve wanted to hold back an official public response until I got a full gauge of your company’s work. Many of my team members love your concentrates as well so I’m sure I just need to try these PG variants. I’ve just had no luck with the VG ones.
I dont think the thicker VG will carry the flavour the same as the much thinner PG
The RAW extracts are the ones that you should try , they are way more concentrated than the previous VG versions!
I think when I do my next big re-up I’m going to snag a few of their most popular ones. I hear great things so I don’t want to miss out on some extra tools for my toolbox!
I am sure @Walt_RealFlavors will get you hooked up. They are pretty amazing but I am one of the ones that like the VG versions as well but they can be lite on flavor and you must shake the living crap out of them every time you mix with them as I find the flavors will separate.
I wasn’t too happy with the VG flavors as well, had to go 12% or more sometimes to get flavor out of them. The flavors are good though so I jumped at the chance to try the Raw Extracts and glad I did. The new Raw Extracts are a LOT more concentrated, 0.5 to 3% is all you need and the steep time is short. Some of the Raw Extracts need time to breath as well since they might still contain some alcohol that will diminish in time.
Walmart carries the Raw Extract line now: https://www.walmart.com/search/?query="Real%20Flavors"&sort=price_low&cat_id=0&facet=brand:Real%20Flavors
I love the Strawberry, that and INW Shisha Strawberry are at the top of my list now. Condensed Milk is also another favorite for me as is there Cream and the Vanilla Custard. The Baklava is pretty accurate but strong and needs to breath. Haven’t had much success with the Butterscotch Pudding though, my %'s may be off or it is just not for me.
Still going to try more in the future, been very impressed so far with the Raw Extracts from Real Flavors.
awesome Walt! Hope it works out!
Man I’m kinda glad it wasn’t just me, hated being the one to appear to bash Walt on his own thread, I think I’m gonna just try and use them up in some silly high percentages, I think you’re all right, it’s not the flavour that’s the issue but the VG, it just doesn’t break through for me
I didn’t know there was a PG version I have to admit, I probably would of gone that way.
I don’t know if you are talking about the raw extracts, but with the VG I have to use 20% and steep for 8 weeks.
This is what I am doing with all my VG versions. Awesome flavors, just far too weak. I have some extracts, and will continue to purchase more as I run out of the VG.
They don’t have a pg version, it’s pdo or raw. Raw is the way to go…so concentrated you will get a lot of bang for your buck!
Yeah, I am talking about the Raw Extract Butterscotch Pudding, just tastes bland so far, still need to work on it some more,.
Can’t get em over here though unfortunately
At the rate Walt is growing I’m sure it won’t be long
Hey @Wayne_Walker Shoot me over a PM and I will send you a few extracts of your choice. We are on the fence. While VG flavors are the best to use for people just starting out, extracts are a much better solution for advanced users.
@Pugs1970 There is a plan in place to start getting them over there very soon
Ah…OK fella, thanks for letting me know…I reeeeally want to like your flavours Walt , too many people are telling me they are good and I’m just like ARRRGH lol 🖒
Hi everyone. Good Lord i feel nervous about posting here…it’s silly, but i do. For real. Which is partly why i chose such a vague username (although it may change, unless i get used to Lovebag lol). My post is about seeking advice on Real Flavors but since it’s my first post on ELR, i thought a brief introduction might be best. Apologies if this wasn’t an OK thread to do it in.
Long story short-ish: only vaped for 3 years. Then i only smoked (more than a pack a day) for nearly 3 years. It’s a whole big thing as to why that happened…not important now. Started making some positive changes fairly recently and that led me (very unexpectedly) to give vaping a try again. I was really not expecting it to take. To my surprise, after only one day of dual use…it did. Today’s my seventh day in a row without a cigarette. No promises on the future but then again, not being pressured one way or the other – knowing it’s entirely up to me and what i want for me – really helps.
So what does this have to do with Real Flavors? Well, being no stranger to DIY i jumped right back into that with my first new vape and each since. But there’s a world of flavours to explore…and i’ve been mindful that tastebuds can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks to spring to life again. i know i generally want strong flavour and strong (tingly – some peppery ‘burn’ but not harsh) throat hit. But it’s a new journey…a new beginning. Don’t want to mindlessly retread old patterns. i want something new…something just for me. And that led me to Real Flavors.
i’ve read through a lot of this thread and want to say an especial thank you to @MysticRose for her detailed reviews. And to @Walt_RealFlavors for being a sweetheart creator! It’s definitely helped me. Very impressed with the wide array of offerings from RF, and the professionalism and tested lack of diacetyl/AP in many of these…and the fact that in both the VG flavourings and extracts, you’ve broken new territory Walt. For a long time both of these were just a dream. And omg, KFC Chicken? i will sooooooo buy a large bottle and/or the extract
In order for my question to make sense, you need to know my setup. My current nicotine preference is (don’t laugh haha) 22 mg/mL. With a PG-based flavouring counting as PG in the following ratio…i’m currently vaping a 70 PG / 30 VG ratio and liking it fine, though i’m sure i’ll experiment plenty. i have an older ProVari (2.0) and a new metal crosshatch Nautilus tank, with new 1.8 ohm heads. So far 4.7 volts seems to be giving me good flavour and throat hit. i know many prefer sub-ohm this and all-VG that and 3 mg juices …what can i say? We all have our comfort zones
Should also add that i live in Canada so keeping shipping costs minimal is more important than if i lived in the States. Which means getting things right ahead of time. Most of my virgin RF order will be from RF’s authorized Canadian reseller. But French Toast …French Toast i am going directly to you for, Walt. The re-seller is out of stock on this one and i’m curious about the difference between extracts and VG-based flavouring. It’s also the flavour i’m most eager to try and expecting good results from. i bought some delicious CAP French Toast last week but stopped using it five seconds into vaping it, after looking it up and realizing it has acetoin and acetyl propionyl in it. It’s apparently discontinued too, for that reason. All i’ve really had on hand this past week is an eeegh watermelon and a good but really old (soon to be replaced) bottle of TPA Apple Pie.
At last, the questions!
1) Given my setup and ratios…what do y’all think about RF extracts vs VG flavours for me?
2) Any thoughts in particular on RF French Toast?
3) How long until KFC Chicken is for sale @Walt_RealFlavors - and will it have the Pass grade on diacetyl/AP? You are a gift from God if so
4) i’m serious about the KFC!
5) i feel bad for even asking this but…how does that work with the ‘15% off for ELR customers’ thing??
6) How do i edit/add profile info in ELR? i feel like it should be obvious but a poke around in the top right corner has left me drawing a blank lol.
Thank you for bearing with me. i still feel really shy about participating in a community so despite the novella today, no need to worry about me writing tons. Future posts in this thread should largely consist of Real Flavors reviews, and replies to people about RF stuff.
A big welcome to the forum @Lovebag!
I have no experience of RF concentrates but you are in the right place to ask! The ELR community are a truly wonderful bunch of people, not to mention knowledgeable!
To edit your profile click on your icon and then the settings icon (wheel/gear type symbol) and voila!
Have a good read of all the threads you can manage and make use of the search bar (magnifying glass icon) - I’m forever searching stuff and there’s always something new to learn!
Look forward to seeing you around!
Welcome to the forum @Lovebag
If you want strong flavor then the RF Extracts are the way to go, the VG versions are more known for being lighter in flavor. As @Walt_RealFlavors has mentioned in this thread the Raw Extracts are what they use in the VG versions but they also add a little more, he said think “Sweet” so I gather that means you should get some sweetener as well. For the Raw Extracts Strawberry I don’t find a sweetener necessary but a couple of others just a small amount brightens them up. It really is dependent on the user but I find right about 0.50% to be more than enough sweetener if I think I need it, maybe even less but I don’t like really sweet.
With the Raw Extracts 2% is a lot of flavor for me, I usually go less than that. The flavors vary though, some are a little lighter so 3 to 5% is not out of the question, just depends on how someone likes it. I have found I have not used more than 3% myself and that was with the Raw Extracts Vanilla Custard.
I haven’t tried the French Toast Raw Extract yet, on the list to order soon. I do have the VG version which is delicious but not the strongest so I bet the Raw Extract will be great. The Real Flavors French Toast smells better than the Capella version I also have.
Happy to see vaping has helped you quit smoking so far, keep it up. Vaping is the only thing that helped me quit, been smoke free for over 2 years, it might be 3, it has been so long I don’t remember…lol
