RTAs failed me/I've failed my RTAs?

Why the question mark? Haven’t you seen it, or don’t you know if it’s still available?

Since I’ve only ever used regulated mods, I don’t understand why people like mechs. (maybe I’m secretly a control freak?) (so secretly I never even realized it)

I didn’t realise it existed until this thread but I wanted to make sure that’s the right one. As you said it seems to be mostly unavailable now , hopefully they are bringing out a 3.

As for liking mechs. Size, weight, form factor are part of it for me. You can find regulated tube mods but they’re the same size with a 18350 battery as a mech with 18650. Also mechs last basically forever and can be refinished as they get messed up. A little planning to get the odd spare part in springs and such up front, you’re mostly set.

It would be difficult to find anything like this in a regulated setup for example. So I think it’s just visuals and form factors. Some will argue that power has something to do and that mechs hit harder (for sub ohm) I can’t speak to that.

Yeah, I meant a Squeeze 2. If they make a 3, I hope they do something about the weight. And also maybe make the threading on the battery cap and beauty ring better looking. I’d say it’s the least attractive part of the mod.

I can’t imagine me going to the trouble of refinishing a mod, much less taking one apart to repair/replace parts. I doubt I’d get it back the way it was supposed to be, the pieces/parts are just too small.

Well, of the three RDAs + Wasp RDTA I’ve got so far, the Ammit MTL wins by a landslide for flavor and airflow. The Wasp comes in 2nd place, but there’s a pretty big gap between it and the Ammit.

I was originally using the Ammit without the squonk pin because of its really deep juice wells, but I still haven’t gotten the hang of when I need to ‘drip.’ I over-squonk sometimes - I don’t know if it’s becausse I’m used to being able to see how much juice is in the atty or because I’m worried I’m gonna end up tasting burnt cotton. :frowning:

But after I’ve dumped out the excess juice and have it vaping right, the Ammit tastes almost the same as the attys I’ve been using. :sparkles: I’d like to get a couple more, but of course I’m having probs finding any. I was wanting to get one each in black and SS, but FastTech never even sold them and Element Vape only has them in gold. I’ve been searching around and everyone seems to have them listed as Sold Out.

Wow, I am amazed how you do the amount of searching that you do on a phone. If I didn’t have a computer I don’t know if I would spend more or less money. I do a lot of price comparison, but I doubt I’d do that w/ a phone, so I’m thinking more. But, I think I’d get fed up shopping at all on a phone, so maybe less?

While looking around Heaven Gifts I ran across the iJoy Capo. Any idea how it compares to the Pico Squeeze 2? They look very similar in size/shape, but no idea about weight or quality.

WTF? I tried to look up the Squeeze 2 on FastTech to get its dimensions to compare it to the Capo. Even though it appears in the drop-down while typing in its name, it won’t show up in the final search results. It keeps giving me the VV Pulse 2.

There was something about the Cappo that made me not want one. Something negative from either a review or People’s comments. if I remember correctly it has a non-removable, built-in tank. I don’t think that would be the deal breaker for me so maybe it was leaks or crappy Temperature Control? Watch a couple of Video reviews and see if there is a Reddit Pizza Dave written review for the Cappo.

Yeah, I looked into some comparisons. It seems I’m not the only one that saw the similarities between the two squonkers. I don’t use TC, so I don’t care that the Capo doesn’t have it. Apart from the differences like fire button/screen size and placement, the main difference seems to be related to their chips. The Capo has a buck chip while the Squeeze 2 has a buck and boost chip. Without reading I have nfc what that means, but apparently batteries should last longer in the Squeeze 2.

I had one and the biggest issue was it didn’t seem to fire very hard (for want of a better term). If I used it at 25W, it felt like other mods at 15W. Bottle is removable, device is reasonably well made, the little “door” that secures the bottle is held on by magnets which need to be stronger, I lost 2 of the doors. Personally, there are better mods around including the squeeze 2 which is much better.

Thanks for that. It helps hearing from someone that had one vs. reading reviews. But from what I read about the chip, it would explain what you were saying about the Capo’s 25W feeling like other mods’ 15W.

I know there’s some people that have the Pico Squeeze 2. I noticed the disk that’s attached to the squonk pin is crooked. I’m wondering if that’s what’s causing it to leak. Does anyone else’s look like mine does? Close-up of my Squeeze 2

I don’t know if I should keep on writing in this thread or start a new one. People that have been reading here know what I’ve bought plus know my vaping style.

I’ve got some questions about squonking and RDAs. Basically, do they use more juice than RTAs do, or am I screwing up somehow? I’ve gone through more than double the amount of juice I’d use w/ an RTA while using a squonker and RDA - and that’s w/ two different setups.

i have 5 squeeze 2’s. none of them leak. perhaps that disk you mention is integral to the connection that meets the 510 pin. can you observe the connection? is it level? i assume it’s leaking from that point. can you pry under the silicone to inspect? i like my squeezes.

No, the disc is parallel to the horizontal plane. That is likely the cause of your leak. I would try to straighten it and see if you get a better seal. it’s possible that the metal tube cracked when bent but it’s more likely your just not getting a good deal.

With a good RDA and a proper wicking they often use more juice than the typical RTA.

It’s definitely not parallel to anything - the mod, the silicon seal, etc. I don’t understand what you mean about the metal tube cracking when bent.

Like more than twice more? I’ve got an Ammit and a Requiem set up on a Squeeze 2 and Pulse 2 (more on that later). I’ve been refilling the bottles almost twice a day (not the only attys I have set up). The other attys I fill every other day, and I feel like I use them more often.

It seems like I’m running into dry wicks all the time w/ the RDAs. Do I have too much cotton in them? I’m used to using a lot of cotton in my RTAs because of the high PG thing, to prevent flooding. Is that method of wicking working against me w/ RDAs?

I blow through juice in squonkers. I think there are a couple of reasons for this but one big one is 0 cotton burning. I think with standard tanks we get some funk we don’t want. Maybe it’s just me. I set up temp control to test this theory and have it set quite low.

Either way I agree I go through a lot more juice - which is why I’d stopped until I started making my own juice. Now I don’t care!

What do you mean? Do you think I should keep w/ my usual amount of cotton, or just use what they show in wicking tutorials? I’m just wondering if I’m getting dry hits because I’m over-stuffing the deck.

I’m sorry I was responding to the earlier comment on juice usage, but yes for what you want to do I would not be building as big a “nest”. can you post a photo of coir wicking? I’ve found, especially with thick juice, if I wick it like I’m dripping either I have to squonk every time a lot (and then it may flow into air; or I don’t put giant long tails - I make it so the tails touch the deck so the juice well is used as a juice well not a cotton stuff.

With dripping I kind of get the copious amounts of cotton but with squonking unneeded juice should flow easily back into the bottle- so I don’t see the point of using a lot of cotton, it just defeats the benefit of fresh juice which is a main reason for bottom feed for me, and leads to dry hits.

Wow, that last sentence says SO much! My Ammit has really deep juice wells, and I’ve been filling them generously with cotton. I’ll re-wick the way you describe and see how that works out. I’m hoping that will help w/ the dry hits I’ve been getting. I’ll try the same w/ the Requiem if that works. Thanks!
