RTAs failed me/I've failed my RTAs?

How do you refill your squonkers? I’ve been making a colossal mess every time I do it, and I’ve tried different ways. During FastTech’s anniversary sale I put in an order for bottles so you can refill from the 510, but they keep getting delayed. I’ve looked on FT for bottles like the ones I ordered, but none of them seem to be in stock, either. :frowning: Do they sell any of those bottles here in the US for a reasonable price?

btw, I like the VV Pulse 2, but it’s slightly too large for my hand. I can either hit the fire button or I can squonk it. I have to rotate it around in my hand to go from fire to squonk. It’s nice and lightweight compared to the Squeeze 2 and I’m definitely down for any mod that has a ‘find my mod’ app! I wish to hell I could attach microchips to all my mods so I could locate them, as I’m notorious for misplacing them.

I take the bottles out, unscrew the lids and fill them,…carefully. I’ve always forgot about the refill bottles when I’m buying other stuff so I haven’t used one.

I’ve never used these but there are thousands of rfid Bluetooth tracking tags. You can attach them to anything you tend to misplace.

You’re Canadian yes? I have 2 of the Vandevape squonk refill bottles and they are really good. Just do a search and specify Canada to see if they are available locally…

How did this go? For me it wicks far more quickly.

Better, but I’m still playing around with the wicking. I think I’m still using too much cotton, but I’m getting there!

I’m still looking around for the “perfect” RDA, and was wondering what people’s opinions were of the Recurve vs Drop Solo vs Dead Rabbit SQ (22mm) RDAs. I’ve seen reviews on here for the Recurve, but not for the other two.

I thought the Wasp Nano was too airy and lacking in flavor and I wasn’t very impressed with the Venna, but I may need to fiddle around with it some more. I prefer single-coil attys using simple SS316L 26 gauge wire.

I’m also considering clones of the Hadaly, Enteon, and Hussar, but I can get them at any time from FastTech. The other three I’ve found on a site along with the Squeeze 2. It’s one of the very few places that still has them.

The Drop and Drop Solo are two of my favoured RDAs. I haven’t got around to trying the 1.5 versions yet.

Which atomizers would you compare their airflow to?

If you end up getting the Hadalay clone, make sure it’s the SXK version which is as good (almost) as the original, the others are pretty poor quality. I also run the Drop, Drop Solo and Recurve (single). For me, there is little to chose between the Drop Solo and the single Recurve (both are excellent, esp set to RDL, the dual Drop less so). If I were pushed to make the choice it would be the Recurve (but not by much)

I found them to be airier than Goons, Pulse 24s etc but not too airy when wide open.

The Hadaly SXK clone is very nice. Another that I really like is the Taifun Typhoon BTD Wave. The clone is very inexpensive and if you’re into simple wire builds, it performs very well.

Both are great. The Drop Solo got a bad review from Anthony Vapes on Reddit so lots of people think they’re crap. I have 3 of them and love them for squonking. You just have to know what you’re doing pretty much to get the best out of them. The dual coil Drop is legendary and for good reason.

I’ve been using a 1.5 for a while. It vapes nice but doesn’t have as much airflow as the original. That tip piece is a bit tall and ugly I think, but that’s just me lol. I have a 1.5 coming but Mike Vapes said it’s a downgrade. I saw what he did with his coil position and I can understand why he thought that. I’m looking forward to ttrying it out. The top caps are all shiny and don’t look that great for the Solo 1.5’s.

Indeed I miss my Drop: it went missing along with a Vaporesso Luxe during a move last year.

No word about the single-coil Dead Rabbit, the SQ version? It looks like it sold well on FT, but like a most things that are more than a few years old, it’s no longer available. I don’t want to miss my chance getting it, but I also don’t want to buy something that should be passed by.

I had one for a very short time. Personally, I thought the airflow holes were far too high. I’m not a fan of unchanneled top air-flow. Flavor is most improved when it comes from the bottom and allowed to gather in a domed top cap IMO.
Just my two cents, you may love it.

I got one a few months ago but still haven’t tried it. I’ve read about some people really liking it but mostly people bashing it.
