Apparently, squirrels enjoy feeding on engine harnesses.
Our Tundra is down for the count . $6,000 ++ in damages.
I’m not going to do any more adulting today.

Oh my gosh… @Alisa I hate to hear that… dang it…
I dont blame you one bit. vicious squirrels…
My issues, and there are many, come from field mice rather than squirrels. That definitely sucks!
I used to suffer a lot of mouse damage, until some neighbor around here let their cat roam around the neighborhood at night. Have not had an issue in several years now! Trade off is cat prints on my cars, but fair trade.
Same exact thing just happened with my Sis-in-Laws truck. She was NOT happy.
You need to get a new pet … I hear these animals feast on squirrels and give some tender love to engines too.
Nope nope nope! [shudders]
@Alisa you just triggered me. Say it isn’t so !!!
I’m still rocking my '03, and I might have more Griot’s Garage Best Of Show Wax, then I have flavors !!!
I vote for #FixTheTundra !!!
There is a simple fix for this… after all, squirrels are delicious…
@Alisa that is just horrible, the Tundra is such a great truck too, loved mine.
This image keep playing in my head, guessing yours too
@SessionDrummer WOW, Still looks showroom new brother. How many miles?
Yup…a little hot sauce, and yummy!
Don’t show that to my daughter she’ll be wanting one
Heck I’m from Alabama and we don’t even eat squirrel LOL
My brother calls squirrels treetop chickens
I broke my first tooth cusp off, chomping down on a piece of shot! But, I didn’t stop eating … did move on to the rabbit though!
they are yard rats here… and fit in with my trash pandas
Peppered squirrel jerky!
Had a ranch hand that used to make it and it was good!
Damn, that’s some damage. Sorry to hear it Alisa. Hope you figure out a way to get rid of them. Personally, I like the snake idea
Yes… we fixing Sean’s (my husband) ‘Baby Boy’, fer shur .
Wish I had a better picture. Dirty working truck. Oh well, that’s how they are supposed to
be in the real world, right? lol
Yeah, apparently Toyota and most other major manufacturers have been making engine harnesses with insulation made with a SOY product that attracts rodents even more than usual. Crazy Environmental crap.
Oh well… we are going to have to either drop Irish Spring soap shavings all over the engine every couple of months, or spray with a Peppermint oil based spray to repel those nasty buggers.
If that doesn’t work, I guess I’ll get in some shooting practice after all.
<- that isn’t exactly what mine looks like, but ya’ll get it. haha
