I know there’s nothing but love for this tank but I hate it…I’m sorry but I do.
I never got over the taste of the coils (nor the price) and after using it but a day, I shelved it.
I decided to pull it back out the other day and give it another go and I should of just left it alone.
First I found that while it was sitting, the little bastard leaked EVERYWHERE and after breaking it down and cleaning it, I filled it up and put it on my mod. I came back 5 minutes later to find that it had leaked yet again and this time destroying my mod!!
So I cleaned it, again, filled it, again and double checked it had all its O-rings and bits n pieces and put it on a different mod. No leaks! Until I got to work and found the fucker leaked AGAIN!!
So I’m done with it, it’s been nothing but a pain in my ass since day 1. How smok is so popular is beyond me…
It’s has to be some type of o-ring problem or something not put together right. I got 3 and leaking have never been a issue. I still have at least 1 in rotation daily.
My thoughts exactly - I had a leaking on my first build, until I noticed that screwing the RBA-head in too tightly distorted the small o-ring on the RBA-head causing the leak!
Yeah I heard about the O-ring issue and I have tried it every way possible, tight, loose, snug, etc…all leak.
It didn’t leak when I first took it out of the box, until it sat for a month. Now it doesn’t matter what I do it leaks everywhere!! Even if I flip it over, it pours out of the drip tip/chimney…I’m at a loss and it’s not worth figuring it out anymore…the thing is basically brand new
Even though there’s no possible way I could have lost it, there isn’t another O-ring besides the one that is on the coil itself correct?
The base never had an O-ring (outside of the one that holds the glass tank) and there’s the tiny one above the threads on the coil. The threading the coil screws into on the base does not. Just making sure because I have no idea wtf…
I kinda have to agree with you @DarthVapor. I find the TFV4 rather finicky. Thus, you’ll see my listing in the “Trade” section on ELR. I won’t even go into the reasons I want to ditch it…preaching to the choir, there! I’m just hoping to find someone who’ll want to trade me something for it… Hell, I’d take a freaking IGO-W for it! jk, but seriously, I might have to bite the bullet on the $ for $ factor and trade it for something that I can at least use without wanting to throw it through the nearest wall!

@daath what O-ring could be broken though?? The only ring for the coil and threading on the base is the one on the coil itself? All the other rings are intact and in place. This thing has only been taken apart once since I got it and that was to switch coils. Ither than that, I have only used it a few times, by a few times I mean like 10 puffs and thats it.
I was just making sure there wasn’t supposed to be a ring in the base itself…
I give up, it’s not worth my time to clean it again after it leaks everywhere and I’m not going to lose another mod over this pos
Thank God no! Nothing with the word S-M-O-K on it, comes close to my Wismec!! 100w iStick and the cube almost as well…Thank God I have an extra of everything (not the wismec…yet), because that pissed me off!
I should of never bought a pack of every coil for this thing either, more $ down the drain…
I wanted to like it, I really did! I just don’t like it, I know I’m in the minority but I don’t…
I just can’t understand how a super tiny ring on the coil is supposed to seal the whole thing? You know I’m a crown guy but they at least kept it simple and less bulky/pieces
The ring that is in the outer circle? Where the glass rests? If so, it is in there, just a bad angle. I’m only curious if there was supposed to be one in the threads where the coil screws in…otherwise I have no idea why it keeps leaking…
I went to the DIY coil after nothing but sucking juice…by far the best tank and coil for me. Clouds upon clouds and flavor that rivals every dripper I have yet tried. Quad coil was pretty awesome until, Im guessing, the heat from .1 ohms messed up the seal and started flowing juice through tube like a straw…then 3 coil did it, with 80/20. Went to DIY coil…it was awesome. Maybe I’ll try some new seals on quad and tri later but right now Im lovin this DIY coil a lot.
jk, but seriously, I might have to bite the bullet on the $ for $ factor and trade it for something that I can at least use without wanting to throw it through the nearest wall!
