Ah, so I cut back the build to a single, closed the airflow down to 4 holes, and it vapes quite well. So far so good!

First thing I noticed was no hint of a dry hit. Having built a Stove Top on the Profile, which is anything but a ST atty, the cotton really didn’t have a good way to stay pushed against the whole coil. This obviously works well for that. Flavor and vapour is very good for a single coil. Impressed so far.

So I put it through its’ paces last night, my way anyway. I chain vaped and drew pretty aggressively for hours(as I tend to do when alcohol is imbibed). I was trying to see how it handles my ‘normal’ circumstances, and I was unable to get into a dry hit situation which is my biggest worry. With the single coil it did not heat up and stay hot, flavor and vapor remained consistent. It doesn’t knock me off the chair with flavor but it is on par with what I’m accustomed to.
I’d say give it a shot, especially since you’re already familiar with the Stove Top Life.

Flatten that puppy out before (or after I guess) you mount it. The parts of the coil warping out will probably have insufficient contact with the cotton and will dry hit you. And make sure they are not overlapping too.
