I am hoping you will beta test future SC mods that have TC. Makes no sense to beta test without TC users and I know you know your stuff
Thatâs very kind of you to say.
I havenât been made aware of a new TC mod from SC yet, but I hold out hope for one.
The Titan PWM (which we know is not a real PWM) 1.5 seems to be the next one in line, but that is just cosmetic changes with the same internals, so there was no need for me to test it.
I value your opinion and look forward to whatever comes your way in the future my friend.
Coming from you, that is high praise indeed, thank you
That was an alternative firmware that SC offered at the beginning of this year to allow the option of locking all buttons (version B), rather than the factory installed firmware (version A) that allowed the adjustment buttons to locked, but left the firing button operable.
It looks like they both add bypass mode and a puff counter change.
I still have the original firmware. I wasnât sure if Version A above was the original or if it was new also. I tested by holding the third adjustment button for 1.5 seconds and it just rolled through the pre-heat settings so Iâm sure they are both new.
When they first rolled out the update they only had option B. It is very nice to see they added option A as I donât understand the need to lock the fire button with the others. That option was already built-in (power Off, duh).
Question to A Plus V2 owners that also possess the original A Plus.
@mjag @SessionDrummer @Tworrs @Lostmarbles
Will the V2âs, 8ml metal extension cap and 6mm chimney reducer fit/work with the V1. If so would it also have to have a V2 top cap?
Will just the 6mm chimney reducer fit and work with the V1?
Iâm placing an order soon and now would be a good time to buy some V2 parts if they will work.
Update: â> See the results <â
Thanks
Yes, there is cross compatibility between the Plus and Plus V2
Like @Tworrs mentioned they do have some cross compatibility. I am busy dodging the crazy heat in S Cali at the moment but if you have any other questions I should be able to answer this coming week.
Thanks. I went ahead and placed an order to include the chimney reducer and tank extension. When I get my order Iâll post the results.

Oh my, I sure hope it isnât the open flame, fire tornado type crazy heat. Stay safe.
I know what youâre talking about there brother. 118 this weekend and then itâs going to drop about 25 degrees later this week. Itâs some crazy shit, man. Not as freaky as what Colorado is gonna get but still. I didnât see a speck of blue in the sky today. The whole valley was blanketed by smoke. Everything was just orange.
Getting a bunch of it in WA
damn, i feel for you guys
After what we went through last summer with 118 temp heatwaves for a week at a time its oppressive.
Not to mention the estimated 3 billion wildlife animals that perished in the fires
Yeah, the Australian wild fires were terrible. Really feel for anyone who has to go through this. Not in the mix myself but have fires 30 miles away in both directions and the air quality is bad, masks on even when no one is around but have to limit time spent outside
Thanks @bebe1
What Australia went through was just heartbreaking.
Where Iâm at its mostly bad air (itâs cleared up quite a bit now) but I have family in northern California and dear friends in Oregon and theyâre almost surrounded. Their firefighting teams have been amazing at holding back the flames, but theyâre experiencing some really wild wind patterns that are wreaking havoc. In looking at satellite images, itâs just a horrifying sight to see our west coast in flames.
yep, the wind turns them into something altogether diabolical.
Firestorms are so scaryâŚ
Like a blast furnace and the noise is unbelievable
Hats off to all those firefighters, very brave people backing up day after day, with very little sleep in between.
That smoky air is horribleâŚ
It was so dense and hung around for weeks and weeks here.
Gives you headaches and sinus issues.
Really bad for asthmatics and the like.
I was looking at the news last night and it showed it snowing within miles of the fires. I think it was the Colorado fires.
That is just crazy! Snowing but record fires? Mustâve been some crazy temp drops?
At least it helps and is a small reprieve for firefighters to rest up and get ready for when temps rise again.

Thanks. I went ahead and placed an order to include the chimney reducer and tank extension. When I get my order Iâll post the results.
It works!
The V2 9ml extension on V1 base with V1 top-cap . The chimney reducer used for the mesh and single coil decks drops perfectly in place with the V1 or V2 top fill-port piece.
It only works with a section of glass. It will screw together without the glass, and look good but it wouldnât be a juice-tight seal.
Itâs sporting a new wide-boar 810 Stainless steel and resin drip tip available in several colors from https://shop.steamcrave.com/. The drip tip came with a very noticeable increase in flavor. That was a pleasant surprise
The SC V2 advanced is nice & all, but that mfâr is a pain to take apart! First time I went to clean it & change the juice, I ended up breaking the glass tube on it b/c itâs like it ceated everywhere & didnât want to come apart @ all⌠I had to replace the tube & it happened a few times after tht change, so I figured Iâd just keep it the 8ml tankâŚ, well the last 2 times tht I cleaned it, it wouldnât come apart so I just washed it the best I could & let it dry good b4 using it again⌠today it done it again & I broke the other tube to it. ⌠took me a lil bit to figure out how to set it up for a dripper, but hey this this like really enhances the flavor of my shit now!

done it again & I broke the other tube to it. âŚ
