I have that one so thx for letting me know it’s legit for the show.

The 3 middle categories don’t change, but you can get creative in the way you choose flavors. Example, FW caramel cinnamon roll would be the spice I’d cinnamon is on the list and (usually) the misc category using caramel. I’ve seen that in the misc category a lot. I’ve just had to put my thinking cap on and see what flavors I have that could bang out 2 of the categories. It’s definitely been a huge challenge for me, especially using fruit… since I’ve NEVER been a big mixer of fruits.

@Lynda_Marie @EyeMSam I came in late the last show. Were you discussing some changes in how we’re doing it this week with cherry? Or am I imagining things?

Only one of the 3 middle columns are needed now, as long as you have the 2 fruit pairings and a miscellaneous, you can pick one from spice/nut/booze. Instead of 2 from the middle 3 rows.

I also got one in for this weeks, i may have cheated a little but sam encouraged me to, so blame sam, lol. Im actually from the uk & due to me being on very strong meds/sleepers im usually asleep when the show starts, so if you read the notes on mine i vaped almost all the 30ml & mixed another 60 up to see how it steeps, & at the end i said i wouldnt know where to start on improvements? well i vaped the 2/3ml i left over from the original 30ml today & i think upping the butterscotch by 0.5% could be a great improvement? other than that its almost perfect(for me anyways). Ill update the recipe with steep times etc when i know how it steeps long term. Ill try to pop in later if my alarm wakes me up,lol. :v::heart:

I saw!!! That’s perfectly fine to “cheat “, I’ve had to a couple of times and I’m sure I will again lol I can’t wait go go over your recipe tonight! Thanks so much for submitting your creation. We’ve really been enjoying seeing people play along. I had to use a Blackcurrant for “Creme de cassis” on Blackcurrant week due to lack of a lot of booze concentrates. It’s fine

Thanks for contributing @RicklePick-Eddie1z and welcome! I might not make the show myself, I can barely keep my eyes open, but if I do I hope to see you there, as well.

What do people think of discussing our mixes here? I don’t mind a bit of suggestions especially since we’re working in the confines of pairing charts. And asking others about the choices they made. After all, isn’t the purpose to learn new things with mixing, try different approaches, etc.?

I don’t see why not. Always good to bounce ideas off one another. I know that these mixes are a lot different than my usual mixes.

Next week is cranberry

For real, I have only one cranberry flavor, to boot.

Yea, I had fun with it. I’ve never mixed cranberry anything. I have only 3-4 cranberries. I used Cran compote (SSA) and cranberry (Flv). Definitely mixing way out of my comfort zone for sure.

My one is, you guessed it, Cranberry Blood Orange (PUR) but I found a good recipe idea for it so we’ll see. Sam made a great mix using it.Check cookies

Lol, I was watching Noted DX: 99 and you have a very discerning palette. Your description of AM4A was very right on except that you weren’t aware of the leaf varietals. Amphora makes a lot of Cavendish blends which are typically Virginia and Burley but can also have Kentucky and Orientals, etc. AM4A is complex and many vape it solo. This one is known for it’s dark fruits and other heavy dark tones…

“A slight chocolate and caramel note, but what really comes through is the burley flavor of a woody, leather (not a bad thing), plum, anise and slight raisin quality; a very complex tobacco flavor which can be considered to be a stand alone flavor in a mix. Start 2%.” - Kinnikinnick

Pro_Vape has good notes on it, too. Great job Lynda for someone who generally doesn’t do tobaccos.

Btw, there are two types of pipe tobaccos: aromatic and non-aromatics. Aromatics can be hybrids of added flavors like Cavendish Vanilla Cream Pie (I just made that up), but it’s an example. Some pipe smokers hate that type of aromatic because of the added chemicals and prefer a natural aromatic. The non-aromatics are just that, straight tobaccos.

Couldn’t find the Noted on figs and dates.

I had to go back and watch…I found that since I’ve been single flavor testing so many different flavors, not just my usual custards and vanillas, I seem to be able to taste things better, if that makes sense? I feel like I can pick up notes that I normally would not think of. I’ve also noticed that I’m not as heavy handed with flavors now because I can pick out the notes in my mixes. For example, this weeks cranberry episode, I was afraid I’d bury the cranberry bc I, of course, made a dessert. I just tasted it and could literally pull all the flavors out. I do believe I might have become a super taster hahaha :grinning:

Your recipe this week looks good! I just posted mine up as well. (how do you get the hyperlink “check cookies” to show up?)
