Im going to get alot of smacks for this I know. But anyway the reason I got into mixing my own a few months back is literally to replicate one recipe. 7 months later… I achieved it this morning. Needs steeping but I know spot on I have it.
Alot of people around the net have the same sweet question I do, where is the damn sweetness. Now I have read about all the things about flavour muting etc etc… (i dont care about coil killing, Ill just roll more) but for months because I read what everyone said and I didnt actually tru for myself, I kept to the low low sweetener recommended percentages.
Look, a not here, I specifically for this recipe used mainly TFA (on ELR - TPA) main flavors, which I find are far stronger than most, it was my thought to use that and then crank up that sweetener.
Sweet Candy Enhancer 2.5%
Sweetner 1.5%
Cap Super sweet 0.3%
Yes… ALL IN ONE RECIPE.
Commercially sweet BABY!! And the recipe I have chased since day one of this thing.
Sorry for the little go along, might help a newbie though. PS made my own eurythritol sweetner thats amazing
Sorry. Not vaping anything that’s gone through your (or anyone else’s) eurethra.
/EDIT
Before anyone points out the obvious misspelling, it was only done for the joke.
Now, if on the other hand, you meant erythritol… Congrats!
Keep in mind other flavors and additives bring sweetness also, So you may not need as much of these, depending. If you use sweet flavors and Meringues it may get too sickening sweet. I have notes on a lot of the sweet flavors I’ll see if I can find it.
I’m not going to knock you for wanting sweet juices… I happen to love them ROFLMAO as my grandma use to say there’s an A*s for every seat and if it makes you happy screw what anyone else thinks.
That would blow my head clean off but that is just me, you should not give a shit what I think if it works for you
I was part if the no sweetener crowd when I first started DIY, peer pressure and all. Started having more success when I started to mix in some sweetener, mostly 0.50% super sweet. I will mix in some marshmallow, meringue or EM when the mix calls for it, sometimes all of them.
There are some flavors that have some EM, sucralose or stevia in them so best to know which. I know TFA Strawberry has EM in it so want to be careful as it can mute which I have experienced.
Sure you can ruin a recipe with too much sweetener but when used carefully it is fine and can usually be a big enhancement. Best to try a recipe without sweetener though and add if need be. This way it will let you know what it is doing.
Like @Sprkslfly mentioned it is Capella. Haven’t used it much, mainly because I don’t do a lot of candy vapes. It is pretty good though, just have to be careful as it smells like EM is one of the ingredients. I tried it at 0.50% and 1% and it definitely gives candy vapes a boost. Personally I like it but have to experiment more with it.
Id love those notes @Freddie3 if you can find them yeah this recipe had other sweet things on top of it haha, like strawberry ripe and sweet strawberry, and raspberry sweet.
I never could get any sweet flavor from all the flavors everyone said had it. I also thought I shouldn’t need it but then I tried super sweet and enjoyed it. I now use Sugar Daddy in every recipe at varying amounts. I don’t make it very sweet, just enough to satisfy my sweet tooth.
Flavorah sweetness works for me, very discreet in actual sugar taste, but does help flavours that need the sweet to pop.
I don’t use sugar much in real life, I guess I don’t want the taste in vapes either.
Solubarome has started selling Stevia, I’ll try a bottle. The slight off taste might help my herbals.
I enjoy the sweetness… I dont use it often… but I do have a few recipes that really do need it… no back taste and can actually give those famous sugar lips… Stevia on the other hand noo… I hate any kind of off taste in my juices. I tried a few commercial juices SF… and had to pif them… I can not stand juices with fake sweetener… something about it just makes me sick… This is why I keep 4oz of sweetness… I even use it in my coffee… for the last couple years. It doesn’t take much at all.
