No idea if it applies to @Middle_Finger_Salute, and not saying it doesâŚbut sometimes we just have to remind ourselves that thereâs always the simplest of truths:
No matter how much we want to help, some folks simply are not meant to be cooks (ermâŚmixers).

I had this same problem when I tried mixing some complicated batches. I went to mixing single flavors. After a month of that I started mixing flavors and only mixed 2 flavors at once and it was great! I stayed with mixing single and duel flavors for close to a month and was getting advise from one of my friends that had mixed for a year or so. Now I can mix 4 to 6 flavors together and come up with a great liquid that is enjoyable to draw on. Good luck and stick with it and you will get better in time.

I have been away for a time and thank every one who took the time and offered advice.
I have not read all of the above but later I will.
What i can say is Im not really any of the wiser.
This is a few weeks on and im sat here vaping on a custard i made. I am not exaggerating when I say I can sell this. Its that good and VERY proud of it. So it proves my system works with a custard
BUT again back to the fruitier/cake ones. Im here looking at my âSummer Cheesecakeâ.
This is the one that has a massive perfume smell and chemical taste
One last thing i measure by ml with syringes rather than weight which i know nothing about.
Is this my downfall ?

Hey,
From what i can see your using too much flavoring, theres no need to use such high amounts.
All your PG is from flavoring and nicotine, heres how i would adjust the flavors:
Sucralose - Personally I would remove this completely
Marshmallow: 1% (1,5% FA Cream Fresh goes really well with this to produce a mouthfeel)
Whipped Cream: 2%
Sweet Cream: 1%
Cheesecake Graham Crust: 2%
Summer Fruits: 8%

Steeping
Note: There are a ton of steeping methods, I only use the one below
Personally I would give this a vigorous shake for at least a minute then store it somewhere dark at room temperature for at least 10 days. (A box in a cupboard works perfect)
I would expect a slight color change but nothing too drastic.
Measuring By Weight
Note: Dont worry if you go over by 0.1 - 0.4 when weighing
I always measure by weight.
Use the create recipe on here with the above percentages.

Place your bottle on the scale and hit the âTAREâ button, this will reset the scale to 0.
Start with your nicotine, (If you mess up here its easier to fix / reset) I use a âthrow awayâ pipette to slowly drop the nicotine in.
(with the above percentages and your type of nicotine the weight would be 1.3g)
Note: I use a 5ml syringe to dispense my VG/PG
Hit the âTAREâ button to reset the scale to 0.
Add your VG - 26.49g
"TARE"
Add your PG - 3.68g
"TARE"
Add your first flavor
"TARE"
Add your second flavor âTAREâ add etc
Its extremely easy and with some practice you can get a mix made in under 5 mins.
Iâd just like to add that you can test taste your concentrates as a small drop on the back of the hand or finger to get an idea of the strength and adjust your percentages that way.

To high of a percent with cap? All of those creams are capâŚI thought most people mixing with all cap end with recipies at 8-15% to start. You even see some at the 20%.
Just a thought. I do agreeâŚI love the lower percents found with FA and thatâs what I use.
@Middle_Finger_Salute. I am concerned by all the cream. Whipped, Marshamallow, and sweet cream. How long did you allow this mix to sit? Hopefully Atleast a week, it would be better at 2weeks.
That being said. Make sure to go back through the whole thread. Lots of great advice. You are for sure missing out on all the tidbits the experts shared.

I know nothing about that Summer Fruits flavoring that you have at 10% but that is my guess at your perfumy notes. Try taking it out and see is the perfuminess is still there.
Sorry I havenât chimed in here before now.
I havenât read through all of this thread, but will give a little insight with some of my experiences.
Unicorn Milk - I have found the best version to be cuttwoodspyâs. I too find the strawberry in it to be a bit bland, but so is the real one. But the custard develops after a month and a half into something very creamy and custardy. Itâs one of my favorite vapes. But up until the 1.5 month period it is lifeless. Custards need a long steep time. And use glass bottles for steeping anything like this. Plastic just sucks the life out of any juice.
If you find a perfumy smell, taste in a juice - test each individual flavor. Also test your PG and VG by themselves. This will narrow down the culprit. Usually it is one flavor causing the problem. But it could very well be your PG or VG. Those are simple to test. Just drip some on an RDA or put some in a tank and vape them individually.
Furthermore, do not give up. It will get better. I had my fair share of shitty recipes, bland mixes, perfumy/waxy flavorings, etc. It will happen. It is best to find out which ingredient is causing the problem before screwing up a lot of juice and ending up frustrated.

Aah many thanks. I think iâll just have to invest in this though I do have more questions.
I use an ejuice calculator and despite weight listed on it when i add the percentages and calculate the weight section stays at zero. there doesnt seem to be an option to change this.
Also how would i know the weight for 70/30 VG/pg and nic strength etc?

Measuring by weight or by ml is a personal preference only. If youâre having problems by volume, then youâll have them by weight as well. Drops is where people get really messed up because there is no true standard outside the medical profession, which for the record is 25 drops to a mill. You canât use the bottle tips as a gauge because they are not consistent.
