So I created my profile and found 3 recipes I want to try and I promptly went out and bought all of the necessary ingredients.
Then I input all of the ingredients (a dozen or so) into the flavor stash on my profile. I left out the vg, pg, and nic bases.
Then I pressed the what recipes can I make from my stash button.
I got a pitiful result with only one flavor recipes showing up. Not even the recipes I bought the flavors specifically for showed up.
What am I doing wrong?
Are you positive you picked the correct brand of flavor? Some flavors have duplicate entries as far as the brands go. For example, there might be 2 entries for TPA vanilla custard. If you didnāt pick the right one as the recipe you were looking at before, it wonāt show up in the āwhat can i makeā list.
To see what I mean, try adding Blueberry Extra and youāll see a few entries for the same flavor.
Yeah I made sure to find the right ones in the list. But I guess its possible i made a mistake.
Do you find the what can I make feature generally helpful and accurate?
Also would it be wise if I were to say put a dulce De leche tfa and a ddl cap in my stash even if I only have one in order to generate more possibilities?
Yeah I have all kinds of recipes in the list when I use it. Iāve got about 25 or so flavors. When I see more than one choice for the same flavor/brand, I pick the one that has the most recipes associated with it. You could pick more than one brand to get more hits, but some flavors are very different by brand, so I personally wouldnāt do it. Especially since the strength of a flavor could differ to the point where using the wrong brand could ruin the juiceā¦EDIT: Thatās just from what Iāve readā¦ I havenāt tried changing brands myself.
Good call i guess ill have to do a little more research before I decide two brands are equivalent. Or ill just end up having multiples of flavors from different manufacturers.
One more question.
Is there a list of the most commonly used flavors on this site? ie āif you have these 15 flavors you can make 40% of the recipes you find hereā kind of thing?
There is a list. In the User menu, click Flavor List. All the flavors are here. Click Recipes next to the Ratings section towards the right side of the page. The flavors will then be sorted by the number of recipes they appear in.
Are you using for example the following suffix.
Bavarian Cream (TPA)
Vanilla Custard V1 (CAP)
Bilberry (CCW)
Virginia (INW)
TPA = the PERFUMERSAPPRENTICE
CAP = CAPELLA
INW = INAWERA
CCW= CUPCAKE WORLD
If you donāt put the abbreviation of the brand then it will add a generic flavour to the list and only show recipes with a generic flavour.
I have around 40 flavours or so and can make 227 recipes from the what can I make.
However another little trick Iāve found to show more recipes is to input a few different manufacturers when you purchase one flavour.
For example.
Iāve added
Banana (INW)
Banana Concentrate (INW)
Ripe Banana (TPA)
This will open up more possibilities on recipes but obviously will have its limitations on use as different brands have different % uses.
Hope this helps some.

Actually I think (Inawera) is more common than (INW)ā¦ But yes, that!
Crap, I canāt wait until I get the flavor stuff fixed ;D
I have 239 flavours and when I exclude the single flavour recipes, I get a result for 192 recipes that I can make. I know that there are a lot more recipes I can make, since I have also purchased a lot of flavours to be able to make certain recipes.

[/quote]So the same problem here.

Neglected to mention that about 70 or so are my own recipes or variations of others that I keep private.
I also do not exclude single flavour recipes as it allows me to see what % others have used these flavours in standalone mixes with varying PG/VG/NIC ratios etc.
Just checked again and itās 249 all in.
If I hide single flavour recipes itās 184.
You obviously donāt have the right kind of flavours lol joking!
Thatās weird. I have around 200 flavorings, and I get 1036 recipesā¦ If I hide single flavor recipes, I get 793!
I know! I get 356 when I include single flavours. It should be way more than that.
Could be that a lot of your flavours are from lesser used vendors.
Didnāt I see you get a big order of Inawera flavours recently?
I would hazard a guess and say that the most used flavouring companies on ELR are TFA, CAP, FW, FA
@daath can you confirm the most used?
CMJ
This is really insane because Iāve never used this function. But it says I can make>>> Recipes: 12141
Sounds about right. Quick query to the database reveals:
TPA: 7631 / 115454
CAP: 2791 / 42311
FA: 2277 / 31722
FW: 1535 / 20917
Inawera: 422 / 4536
First number is public recipes, second number is total recipes.
Holy SHIT
@Pro_Vapes I think we might need to stage an intervention. Also, you changed your name and confused the heck outta me. Lol. I like it though. Very āyou.ā
Thanks @JoJo. NewDrip was alright in the beginningā¦ but I think it started to sound like I was a constant noob and no one would take me serious.
I do indeed have 30 flavours from Inawera. However, I also have 43 flavours by FA, 55 by TFA, 41 by CAP and 18 by FW. Then I have some from lesser know vendors. That is 157 flavours from the most used flavouring companies on ELR. That should certainly result in a lot more recipes from the what can I make.
