I gave up smoking 4 years ago using the HQD Hbar Tobacco flavour and nothing has ever come close. I would love to try and create something similar (didn’t post in ‘clone’ category because it’s probably too niche).
Can only describe it as:
a very mellow tobacco. No spice, fruit or chocolate hints. It had a very subtle sweetness (maybe brown sugar but definitely not caramel), and maybe a hint of nuttiness and wood. (I think these notes might be from the tobacco flavour and not standalone flavours. I’ve tried mixing with Oak and Hazlenut but I think I was going off track)
Not fragrant/aromatic (I’ve bought a few flavours such as Virginia and 7 Leaves and many seem to have this herbal scent)
Kind of dry and light, if that makes sense. Many tobacco flavours and vapes I’ve tried are usually too smooth or heavy, especially the heavily sweet ones which had a thick syrup like feel. the Hbar almost had a texture to it as if you were smoking a real cigarette, didn’t produce big clouds.
I’ve got lots of flavours to experiment with, so I’d love some recommendations!
Hi @radicalmango Welcome to the forum! there are others here much more experienced than I and I’m sure someone will chime in shortly with some great suggestions. The two I recommend are by Smoky Blue it’s a great representation of what you’re looking for…I think.
What you are describing is a ry 4 flavor. Most likely Asian. Don’t know where you are but I would start with Flavor Express or Hangsen. It won’t be more than 2 or three flavors.
My condolences. Flavors are going to be hard to get your hands on. Do a 5 to 10 ml solo on both of your RY’s . I wouldn’t use nicotine till on the flavor your looking for See if they come close…
Welcome @radicalmango I hope you find your fix. I hope you have more fun looking and discovering. If there’s something you can’t source in AU give a shout and maybe we can help somehow.
Ha yep, the new laws are ridiculous! I’ve started putting drops of various flavours together in tiny containers and seeing how they blend. once i think im on the right track i’ll add nic and stuff. i just learned of Acetyle Pyrazine and am wondering if that might help for this
thanks Lynda! I haven’t seen this one. Because of the silly new laws in Australia, I think only flavours that can be inconspicuous as potential baking products are still here lol. the only tobacco flavours we have are the RY4, Glory, Virginia, Black Fire and a few others
Acetyle Pyrazine is a additive more than a flavor. Start low when using. At a low percentage it portrays a light nutty taste. It also mutes by combining flavors together. If you decide to use it mix at 0.25% and no more than 0.50%.
This threads makin me wanna try some tobacco flavors. Maybe it’d be a good pallet cleanse so I can regain taste for my ADVs that I’m sitting here vaping despite flavor fatigue.
