(updated) Which Youtubers do you watch currently?

Then I guess we will have to strongly agree to disagree

Exactly my bro :smirk:

I generally skip most: there is a lot of wasted time or pointless showing off that the start of most. If I need to check an RDA/RDTA - I’ll go to Vic. A Scotsman complaining about hits means it’s a good baseline for me.

Me too, I generally skip to the build and wicking portions then pros/cons/thoughts. I have often gone back to unboxing when I’ve sold an rda or rta to make sure I’ve packed it properly and all the parts are there.

Personally I can’t stand the videos where you got two or more reviewers talking to each other and live chat going on.

“Let’s welcome Master Vape Into the house “ kind of thing.

Other than that I watch a few but I think I like the other Scotsman Paul from Vape don’t smoke most.
He just gets on with it and doesn’t seem to talk to much crap. He makes a few blunders, admits he has and carries on.
I used to enjoy Vaping with Vic more than I seem to now.
I particularly enjoy his first looks segment but that seems to be showing less products.
I’ve wondered if that’s an indication of what he’s actually receiving and what’s being manufactured.

My sentiments exactly mate. I’m so glad that I’m not the only one that can’t stand all of this silly shoutout nonsense on live chat which seems to be the norm these days especially on mixing shows. Far too much time is wasted doing that rather than just getting on with it which makes these shows boring and long winded. Give me an old style tutorial any day and get straight to the bloody point.

most of the time i watch just to see what things look like in real life, and sometimes the pro’s and con’s.

Jesus…tough crowd in here right? Having first hand experience of just how much work goes behind the scenes in getting any kind of show out on YouTube means I have the upmost respect for anyone who attempts it.

No one is forced to watch, if it ain’t your thing then don’t tune in :man_shrugging:

Our show is pretty much everything a couple of people on this thread said they hate, yet everyone who comes back week after week says that they watch us because we have a laugh, and are a bit more entertaining, It’s a community, and bashing someone’s efforts when you don’t actually make any effort yourself if pretty low IMO …

but it is just that…my opinion, and everyone is entitled to one.

Except if your a reviewer because your biased and paid for your opinion…

I agree, but some people don’t have the time to wade through all the social stuff to get whatever info they are after, whereas others are in it for the social (community) side.

I think the point of this post was just about which YT channels people watched, but became more of a review on the personalities behind the channels. The VC show and similar are definitely not everyones cup of tea, but great for a laugh and getting information from an outstanding panel of mixers, including yourself even @Steampugs.

And only getting tougher of late inho.

Never sold one. Lost a few to the mists of time or fateful days.

Please don’t think that I was referring to just your show because I wasn’t and I certainly didn’t mean to sound like I was, in fact I enjoy what you all do individually and very much appreciate it. I love reading your reviews and you always make me laugh with the things that you come out with and I always appreciate the great recipes that the mixers release. Unfortunately the things that I personally don’t enjoy is the sound of everyone talking loudly over each other and the rapid pace at which it is done. I personally think that the problem is likely to be with myself and the fact that I have P.T.S.D. because I am very sensitive to noise and things that are fast paced as they trigger a reaction that brings on my anxiety. Maybe if there was time stamps which can be used to take the viewer to the relevant part that interests them like talking about new flavours etc that would help. It seems that many shows now are more geared towards the mixing community hanging out and having a laugh rather than shows geared towards learning and teaching the community about mixing which is fine but some people will still prefer the latter. Just because I personally don’t enjoy something doesn’t mean that I don’t respect and appreciate you all because I do.

I don’t.

Streaming services like Netflix mean there’s THOUSANDS of hours of REAL entertainment any time I want it.

And why would I watch a youtube review when I can just ask in a forum like this and get genuine opinions from dozens of people who’ve owned the hardware or flavour - compared to what, one person in a video telling me “You should like, totes buy dis bruh - ist FULLSIK!”.

Youtube shit is there to entertain the people who make the videos, very rarely anyone else and there’s much better places to learn about gear and juices - or anything else really - than some video a couple of doodbros made.

Not if a person simply does not give a shit about youtube reviews - like most grown-ups with things to do.

It’s like getting shitty because people dis a lego “build master’ without building lego themselves, when in actuality the vast majority of people consider lego stupid kids shit and don’t give any fucks at all about who builds it well or not - let along about pretend titles like 'Build Master”.

The mainstream population consider it kids shit and a waste of time - like lego.

A more efficiently worded version of the above would be: if any of us here want to know about a tank, mod, juice, flavour or anything else vape-related, we are always going to come and ask right here on the forums: youtube videos are dogshit compared to the feedback from a bunch of people we know are going to give us an honest opinion.

You do know that everyone on the shows also goes on the forums?
Did you also know that one of our shows is actually named AFTER a forum that I co own?
Did you also know that our other show centres around concentrates and recipes from this forum and ours?

You’re literally tarring every show with the same brush, yet some shows are in direct relation to the places you say are the only places any vaper should go for information?

Literally makes no sense at all.

It seems to me, that actually, you’re just one of those people that likes to put a negative spin on anything you don’t agree with personally, which makes you kinda closed minded tbh and a bit egocentric.

We get plenty of people watching because they enjoy it, if they didn’t, they wouldn’t watch, and we know all those people from the forums, your judgement is askew mate, and is based of some twisted notion that everyone likes, and would benefit from, the same things you do :man_shrugging:

Oh I’m not a YouTube reviewer man, I’m known more for my written reviews which you can find here if you search for Steampugs, or you can go to the Steampugs site they’re all on there - www.steampugs.co.uk

The YouTube shows we do are under the ‘Ohm Grown Alchemy’ umbrella, one is for mixing and one is for the forum I co-own vapingcommunity.co.uk, it’s more of a vape entertainment show that one, we have more of a laugh on there, give stuff away that kinda thing.:+1:
