Well shit, I can’t NOT want that one now !!!
Yeah it is! lol
It is. At least IMO.
Don’t forget to see if there’s a firmware update!
wow, you’re not wrong.
After only using it for a few hours, I love it, awesome bit of kit.
Its going to cop a good workout in coming days/weeks…
Yeah i have the V100 version firmware
Is there an update available and what are the benefits?
I couldnt find one on their site.
I spotted the duel carbon update but that has the yihi chip
Battey door sucks a**…, nice mod tho…, pair it with the profile & ur in business!
I apologize! I didn’t mean to send you on a wild goose hunt. I just remembered that there was one available for the original Topside (21700).
And thought I would give a friendly reminder about something that is frequently forgotten about in the excitement of getting a new mod. chuckles (It obviously bit me in the but this time.)
Anyways, I did find the page for the TS Dual, but I didn’t see any update either.
The original Topside does have a firmware update though, and there’s a bit of a special process to go through.
I mistakenly thought that the dual might have one as well.
no drama at all buddy.
It was good to actually check out and learn a bit about the other topside and various dovpo models anyhow.
Id love the duel carbon, i like yihi chips.
Might consider it when this thing has had its day.
Apparently the catch lugs on the battery doors can wear fairly quick.
So i learned that is something to watch and might help extend its life a bit.
Wouldnt mind an odin mini either. cheers
I know what your making …lol is it really that good ??? Would you like to sell a one shot to me ?? Pm me
You may want to scour the forum first… IIRC @Mjag and a couple of others who tried it, found it to be inferior to the original TS.
It seems they used a “bottom of the barrel” Yihi chip in the carbon… Evidently Yihi branched out a couple years ago, and their lower end stuff is selling on the name alone. IF memory serves, you should probably stay in the 500-series chips (or above) when it comes to Yihi. Double check their assessments though, because I’m only going from memory here.
Can being the operative word IMO.
I’ve got an original TS (single) that’s been used daily for well over a year now, and it’s still perfectly functional in every sense. Though, like yourself, I’ve seen the infrequent report of the issue here. (IMO, Not enough data to decide whether it’s due to a bad batch, or a “rough life”, or…not disputing their experiences though. It is what it is.)
Always a good thing!
Hehe @fidalgo_vapes, that’s why I like you. You don’t miss much. Yes, actually it (they) are that good, and legit. I fucked up and accidentally ordered (2) 500ml’s of CAP BB Jam. Will have to offload that one here.
Good, sharp catch Fiddy.
You got a good memory brother. The Yihi chips in the Topside Carbon and the Steamcrave Hadron are the worst Yihi chips I have ever used. I like the Dovpo chip in the normal Topside dual better. When it comes to TC they can be bettered with adjusting the TCR but still not on par with the Yihi chips from before. Even the midline Yihi chips like in the Vsticking and Vboy mods are much better.
It is not even about TC, can’t remember which but either the Hadron or Carbon lacks the preheat function Yihi chips have almost always had. More complicated without the perks of a fine performing chip…fail
@Cutlass92 and @Molly_Mcghee have super strength enabling ways. Once I saw the mods they posted I knew I had to have one. A local shop got this in today…mine mine mine

ahh ok , thanks both to you and mjag for the heads up on the yihi chips.
I was also looking at the hadron as a possible buy shortly so now i’ll reconsider.
I have the IPV V-IT with YiHi SX540 chip and thought it was decent for what i paid for it.
I spotted a Vsticking for $30 on everzon so might just grab a carbon black one of those instead.
cheers guys
