I only owned one mod with a battery door like that… The mod would still work if it wasn’t for that damn door! Darn it. I don’t like them either. Darn it. The more I look at it the more I like it. Darn it all. I may have purchased it without realizing it.

Thankfully I was home, and in the room when it started auto firing @muth. Had been vaping on it, and set it down, was loading some batteries in my charger, and the Armor was sitting nearby, and started hearing crackling, and it didn’t stop. Mash, mash, mashed the fire button (paddle), and it wouldn’t stop. Got the battery out before anything else happened.
A little scary, as the large fire button (paddle) was NOT stuck, not in the fire position, and pulling the batt was the only way to stop it.

Not your fault. The site where I saw them didn’t have a 360 view so I watched a SMM review and that’s where I learned about it. He had nothing bad to say about the Grus but I saw the batt cap and thought twice. That’s just me, I think you bought a great looking/functioning mod. I’ve been trying to come up with some kind of way to make those caps better so I can buy a Grus and be totally happy. Let me know how it works out for you. My first experience with these caps was on a Smoant Knight (SbS) and wished it had a Pico type batt cap.

But I believe this fire button has both a movable and stationary contact and spring. DJLsb takes the whole thing apart if you’re curious.

I know with the MOST recent testers, the one that absolutely struck me like that, OUTTA the gate, was Flavor Labs Apple Pie, with the Bear Claw in a close second.

TBH battery drain hasnt been to bad.
Especially with 40t’s
I always use and rotate 3 or 4 mods at home so its never a problem and usually dont have to change a battery in the armor pro for a few days.
On the occasion ive taken the armor pro out with me its been fine and lasted till i got home.
I usually only run a kylin m or old kanger subtank on it at around 30 to 40w
However I’ll certainly use your tips for even better battery life.
Ive just ordered an odin mini so im not sure the armor pro will be getting a lot of use in the near future.
Theyre a decent little mod though. cheers

Yeah, the T is just a hulk of metal, don’t need dumbbells with it, just use both arms when vaping so your not all yoked up on one side only lol.
That would be killer if you reviewed the Top Gear. Looks like it might be a little bit of a gimmick with the adjustment knob on the top and a play on the topside without it being a squonk. Come to think of it, I wish they would release the Topside Carbon again but this time dump the yihi chip for a DNA250C. Yihi chips are usually solid but the one they used in the Topside Carbon is hot garbage.

Hmmmm, yeah but there are much better 21700 mods around now. I have 2 Armour Pro mods that live in a drawer because I got sick of the batteries falling out and the finish has not held up very well for me…
