Dang wish I would’ve see this before. I did the math by hand. But I bought more than I needed as I make juice for my son sometimes and 2 other folks.

Yes Argon for sure…You can get it on Amazon its a wine preserver …foil seal is not needed

My only dark place is in a closet. Cool, well that can be challenging during winter months, I burn a wood stove downstairs which would be super dark in my storage room never to see the light of day unless I take it out. Upstairs can be 75~ F year round. Is this ok?

I only do it for family now. Niece nephew and my son. I don’t think I want to open it to anyone else as I feel I need to make sure I have enough nic to last. Like you said, I fear nic will become way overpriced or nonexistent and is why I went with 10+ yrs at the lowest taking into account the 3 I make juice for.

I should edit and said my mail lady has asked that I start making her some recently . She doesn’t know it yet but she joining the guinea pig train

I think it was you who I saw uses argon. I would love to chat to get more detail on what to buy and how to do it if you’re willing to teach me.

I would get 2 500ml hdpe bottle then fill them with the pg and Vg then you can store the extra in the closet

Yea I do plan on breaking down my pg and vg. I already have plenty broken down to use sitting on my station. Do you think I need to break these down or wait until I need to?

Argon never hurts, but if you’re already sealed up, it’s up to you. It WILL add life to the NIC, as there won’t be any oxygen in the bottle to speed oxidation. As far a the PG/VG, if you are planning to be working through those large jugs, you may want to consider breaking it up into smaller jugs. Dark, and cool will be fine for them, but what you don’t want to do, is to keep exposing your big jugs to air and moisture every time you open them.

I chose it because it’s 100% food grade, 100% Argon. Easy to use can, just a second or two squirt into your bottle and it displaces the air in the bottle. Argon is heavier than air, so it goes in, blankets your NIC, and the air goes out. Cap the bottles, and have a nice day.

Thanks so much Drummer. Do you mind teaching me what argon to buy and how to use it? Do I need special equip? I’ve just placed them in the freezer, if I thawed over the weekend and did argon (if I can purchase locally or whenever I it’s delivered) I think that’s ok as I’ve refroze some before after needing to break it down, right?
