I’ve been meaning to drop Smoant a line and see if they still have the firmware from March 2018 on hand, as that seems to be the best of the bunch in the ones I have (performs better all the way around, especially in balanced battery usage).
Newer firmware seems to drain the batteries lopsided for some reason. (like 75/25)
I’d be interested in their response. I haven’t used mine in months. Can’t remember why, but it was acting strange so I shelved it. hopefully the fix is in the firmware.
interesting. i have not used mine much = the next new shiny . but i didn’t notice anything odd about it.
If you have an external charger with a voltage meter (that displays while charging), the first few times you pull the batteries from the Cylon, throw them in the charger and watch the voltage reading for a few moments.
If you have the same glitch that some of mine have, you’ll notice that one battery is near completely discharged, and the other has like 75% or so left on its capacity (only needs a 25% charge).

I’ll have to watch out for that. I just tried it out quickly and put my usual atomizer on it. It hit noticeably weak. It read the same resistance but the way it powered my tank was disappointing. I could always turn the wattage up I guess but I just wish it was the same as my other one.
My Cylon never did that. i never updated the firmware.

Waiting on final 500mls from River arriving cross country today via UPS. I’m kind of concerned as it has been in route for almost 7 days and it is rather warm here (80’s) now. I would like to toss it directly in the freezer and leave it sealed, but have concerns that the trek may have tarnished it…I’m prolly going to just stash it and leave it for a decade or so. No, I am not concerned about the HDPE leaching into the liquid, I do have plenty of glass bottled already stowed away.
Got my SXmini T “filter” from fasttech yesterday. This is an armored beast! You could knock someone out cold with this thing.
Gotta say though, not a fan of the joystick. Prefer the old button navigation. I hope it doesn’t develop a drift like my XBox controllers. That just pisses me off to no end

the batteries are draining dead evenly. i got this one at the end of their online retail exitance, if that even matters.

All I think I have left coming is my final AVS order, and some other stuff from over seas. I ordered some custom drip tips for the first time too. Wetvapes canceled my final order which was 3 RTAs. Bummer but whatever…
As far as regular gear, I’ll probably only get a trickle compared to the pasts of running streams with rapids.
Waited a month for my most recent FT order. Unfortunately, I realized yesterday upon finally receiving it that all of what I thought were headless atty screws, I had ordered with hex heads…I also picked up a Pulse V1 RDA for squonking, they only had blue & it has a lovely scratch through the paint on the top cap.
That sucks! Probably not worth the trouble to return it. Maybe sand the paint off of it and polish it to an “SS” version? It is a good vape though. That’s the 22mm version, right? I prefer that to the 24mm. Flavor is pretty intense.
where you get em 1/2 off ?
Make a support ticket and attach a picture. They are customer oriented and replace it. Or offer you a small store credit. If you like one without a scratch I think it’s worth writing a one line description and uploading a pic.
i finally got my 2 RBS decks for the URSA pods. about 20 days from ship, FT.
i stopped by my local vape shop today, just to see if they were still open and if so, what they had. they are stocked well with mods and stuff, but no mechs that i saw. and will looking i saw a $5 a bottle shelf, so i got the BIG TOBACCO, i am “hoping” this is the same as the very first juice i ever used = i don’t remember the exact name and the laabel is different. the TRANSSISTOR, same brand i used to use, but different flavor, for $5, hey.
and then the Frappe, used to get it and its was fantastic ! i have been trying to copy it, with poor results, but it has been 2 years since i used it. so now i am going to use it and try cloning from a fresh memory of it, its very maple syrupy with some coffee in it.
I posted about it in the good deals thread. The shop was called Local Vape. They had Asgards, Asgard Minis, Purge X’s, Money Shots, and Dang RDAs… Those are all spendy. They had some called Kaos for like two bucks each. I have no idea why but I only ordered one of each 25 & 28mm. They’re older but look really nice. The airflow is a single hole. I should’ve bought more of them.
Now that I think of it, they might’ve only been 40% off but that’s still a good discount.
Hmmm, i must have overlooked it. oh well.
