I don’t buy too much from the US either. But I like their products. They may not look good because of paint chips but they run like a champ for a long time.
Exactly, no one cares unless you want to show them off. They got me off cigs, that is all that matters.
My first GV I bought 5 year ago is still running. That’s more than I can say about few competitors I have bought. Water proof. Almost drop proof.
Love the GV, love how I can wash them when they get slimy. I had 1 Aegis X die on me, but that was before I learned about using eraser for cleaning battery contacts. I was able to save 2 other mods that way.
Got to clean your hands before touching them batteries.
I clean mine with a cotton swab and alcohol. Even the metal strips on my battery charger. Stoped charging and the springs wouldn’t slide smooth. Cleaned it up and a little reel oil and it ran like new.
Good to know this. I just put a freshly charged battery in my mod and it is showing it as 3/4 drained, so if eraser doesn’t work, I’m doing alcohol and swab.
@SessionDrummer please let me know what you think of those Minikins mate, they look good but then looks can be deceiving.
Dammit. Made it all the way to the US only to have it fall to the ground. I hope the aircrew is okay.
My package “fell to the ground” yesterday, just found out it fell in NJ.
Can’t wait to see what you think on this one.
Finally arrived. I guess this is the definition of overkill using a 400 watt Lipo mod for a low wattage MTL RTA…
I reckon you could drive to Cairns and back on one charge. Nice!
Probably right, but what the hell would I want to go to Cairns for?
Interestingly, battery longevity is not a strong suit. Used 75% of the battery in 6.5 hours at 11 watts…
That is surprising to hear, especially at 11 watts.
Mine seemed to drain excessively quick on the first charge. It seems better on my third charge now. Still too early to tell.
I read in the comments of a review that they did a software update and it made it worse or something and they had to restore the original version.
