Vg and Pg along with concentrates wire and cotton are all used for everything else. Unless marketed as such. Hopefully everyone is stocked up on nic, mods, attys etc.
I mean they could, but I think it would really come across as unethical. If their ban goes as everyoneās thinking. Theyāll have their way, itāll be regulated pods bought at the gas station taxed to death and the majority of people will care less. IMHO
But for us that do care their just gonna make everything harder to buy through the mail. Right?(8vape says they got a way)
It could be good for local vape shops. IDK. I hear and see the trend being small pod or Jule like systems. Most people donāt want to build coils, understand batteries, mix juice ect.
I will admit being in a small town where I didnāt have anyone to ask questions made it extremely difficult to get into, so I found places like this and YouTube.
Kinda like when they raised taxes on cigs a-roundish 2006. I went to roll your owns for 10 yearsā¦id rather spend $50/month to kill me and my xwife VS 3 packs of cigs/day that would cost $500/month (itās been along time since I bought a pack so math could be off)
But most people couldnāt be bothered by rolling their own.
Cigs are really being shunned to an extremeā¦10 years down the road they find 2nd hand vapor flavors hurts those around you. And even the residual smell on your cloths can be bad for your children.(our pediatrician was selling that to us, smoke cigs with a special jacket outside.)
I donāt believe the latter statementsā¦
BCV is currently sold out of VG, so Iām looking to buy it somewhere else. From what Iāve read in this topic, I only need Food Grade, not Pharmaceutical Grade, right?
Does anybody have recommendations on where to buy? Are there any good, well-priced brands on Amazon, or should I be looking elsewhere?
@FL_Vaper, funny you should ask, Iām just placing an order now from Delosi.
Carrier Base Liquids | Propylene Glycol | Vegetable Glycerin 10% OFF CODE: JUACSAVE104U
Now the current issue is, PG is getting harder to come by, and all of the prices have gone up. Delosi may not be the cheapest, but their VG is probably the thickest, cleanest, purest VG I have ever used.
While Iāve never price chased PG/VG/NIC, I know many that have, and some (not all) were disappointed, and ended up RE-buying elsewhere. If you think about it, those 3 (PG/VG/NIC) make up the MAJORITY of your juices, so why would you want the ācheapestā option ?? LOL.
I donāt price shop, I just find either the best, or almost best, that is constantly in stock, and I buy it. I highly recommend Delosi.
There are some good brands on Amazon. If you are a member you paid for free shipping with your membership. Savings could be nill to considerable. Look for palm base VG. I buy by the gallon and can be priced from the low $21.00 range to $59.00 range. Pay your money take your choice.
Ok, the one there from Amazon is pharmaceutical grade, not food grade, so is that what I should be looking for? Nobody answered that part of my question. I did see someone mention Wizard Labs in this thread. Iām placing a flavor order with them, but @SessionDrummer brings up a very valid point about purity.
COMPLETELY unrelated to PG/VG, since Delosi was mentioned - I recently put in an order for 1L of Nic base from them that I havenāt received yet. Itās in 100% VG. I have a 1L bottle of Nic base in 100% PG from someone else. Would I be breaking all kinds of vaping taboos by mixing them to form a 50/50 PG/VG nic base blend? Or, would I be better off buying another 1L from them thatās 100% PG and doing it that way? (Iād rather not do it that way)
Yep! The most expensive on Amazon. He seems to have come down in price. He was in the low 50ās and if you bought two $46.00 each.
To answer your question if itās Pharm grade it almost always be food grade. Itās a jumble of marketing terms. Look for a minimum derived from Palm and 99.7 pure. There is one I saw that meets that threshold for about $21.00 for a gallon. Never tried it because I am well stocked when I bought 3.5 gallons from River Supply to get the free shipping.
Thats not a bad deal 4 gallons at apprx 35$ each shipped ā¦
@FL_Vaper No not at all. Actually, if youāve ever tried to work with 100%VG NIC, it gets VERY thick when chilled (which is how everyone should store their NIC), and because itās soo thick, it can be almost impossible to thoroughly mix up (eliminating āHot Spotsā).
I think cutting the 100%VG NIC with PG would GREATLY enhance your safety (hot spots), and your ease of using it.
I thought Pharm grade would be better than Food grade, but you make it sound like that isnāt always the case. Iām confused.
I would think something meant for Pharmaceutical/Medical use would be purer than something meant for Food, at least I would hope so.
Mixing to form 50/50 wasnāt the issue, I didnāt know if it was ok to mix from 2 different sources (Delosi and Perfect Vape). I havenāt made anything using Perfect Vapeās nic, so donāt know if itās as good as what Delosiās nic is supposed to be. (I ran an errand and UPS showed up with my Delosi shipment while I was gone - figures) Since itās Friday, theyāll make a re-delivery attempt on Monday.
@FL_Vaper, @rcleven is right. The different grades, are directly related to purity levels.
Pharmaceutical Grade ā Highest Purity
Food Grade
Agricultural Grade
Industrial Grade ā Lowest Purity
No problem, AS LONG AS, both are good quality. Nothing worse than taking an El Cheapo, bad (or not so great) product, mixing it with a great product, and both get tainted.
Itās mostly just marketing. Look for purity. The. $ 21.00 VG is the same purity as the $46.00 VG. The term Pharmacy grade added $20.00 profit and is no better than the $21.00 VG.
@FL_Vaper, Delosi states a 99.9% purity, so I think thatāll work for ya, with no marketing hype, or markups.
