@T-Ristan this is not the first time I’ve heard of this, but I cannot find any mention of that on the MSDS sheet.

I believe that has been the problem with the dodgy Juule THC vapes, so I would avoid this like the plague. Oils are BAD!

Juul doesnt make thc carts… those “carts” came empty and slackers fulled them with thc oils…
It isnt juul making them. Juuls issues are many, but not the thc issue.

Juul took their product info to high schoolers, Juul only offered 30mg and 50mg nicotine… teens vape them, yes… but ask yourself… where are the parents of these vaping kids?

^^ even the vaping community is miss informed

While does contain what they have listed as VITAMIN E USP LIQ cas 1406-18-4 this is not even close to tocopheryl acetate CAS Number: 7695-91-2

CAS: 1406-18-4 while not water-soluble it is in ethyl alcohol.
CAS: 7695-91-2 is not

@Steve68 yes oils are bad this is not in the same ballpark as Vit e Acetate

I will find a video for you so you can see how they would use an water insoluble compound in a flavouring.

Edit:

You have to go to the component list to see it and the information that t-ristan supplied it incorrect

I must admit, I thought that it was odd that VGV would use an unsafe flavour, or that TPA would sell one.

And this is a prime example of why Material Safety Data Sheets are designed for use in the TRANSPORTATION and EMERGENCY SERVICES sectors. It’s primarily intended for how to deal with a chemical in the event of an accident or exposure.

/speaking to the general public
MSDS are only a loose indicator for the vaping community. At times VERY LOOSE. One should not depend on them as a sole source of information.

And it ‘pains me greatly’ (to be as polite as fucking possible) to see folks make sweeping statements AND simultaneously leaping to conclusions in such cases where having correct information is so ultra critical.
When such statements are made, you’re showing not only that you have fallen victim to the media’s intent (unfounded fear), but also spread misinformation FOR the media (read as: so they don’t have to, not as in: "on their behalf’), amongst the community they hope to destroy. :face_vomiting:

This is how the DAAP (Diacetyl/Acetoin/Acetyl Propionyl) scare got started…

That’s why I identified them as “dodgy.”

Much as i dislike Juul and the way they throw everbody under the bus - the cartos that were the centre of the illicit thc issue had 0 to do with juul or their devices more like

Juul is was not dodgy, had nothing to do with the thc problem.
@woftam is correct. :+1:

So I had the same problem.
Went on the TFA website and it is listed directly on the ingredients list.

Not true, actually. Many “manufacturers” were purchasing empty Juul pod clones and filling them with bunk distillate so they could be used in the Juul battery. Fake CBD carts/pods from China were a big part of this as well.

Yes, not the company themselves

We know what flavor you are talking about.

If you would read the replies above, you would see that it’s already been pointed out that Vitamin E (in the flavor you linked) is NOT the same as Vitamin E Acetate.

Woftam already gave you the link for the chemical components list (again, of the flavor you’re talking about) above:

And before that, he stated quite clearly that they do NOT share the same CAS #.

Yes saw all the previous posts after I already started responding—my bad for not reading up.

I still personally feel uncomfortable vaping vitamins , even if at a negligible level and in a form that isn’t inherently harmful. The clarification is much appreciated though @wolftam

While I can respect your personal choice, the issue I took with it was the “AVOID” statement.

I feel such a “warning” should not be put out, when you aren’t even certain on the subject matter.

Totally understand. I’ve done that more than once myself.

Using some common sense helps a lot in circumstances like this…
Key Lime (TFA) has been used for many years by many users, yet nobody has ever gotten sick from it. The cases with lung disease have only started to pop up with the illegal THC cartridges (and now also with CBD liquids).

If you’re not sure about a subject, it’s always a lot nicer to ask a question than raising a big fat warning and (unintentionally) spreading misinformation. I think there are already more than enough bogus claims on the web that are not really helpful for us vapers.
