What are you watching? 2022/23

Just spoke to my better half and the religious authority in my house. The Chosen is produced by the Mormon church.

@Mark_Turner sometimes ā€œDie In A Fireā€ just doesnā€™t seem to come CLOSE enough.

That was very cool to watch.

Just finished the first episode of ā€œWill Trentā€. Iā€™ve read a number of books by Karin Slaughter and though I liked the first episode, it has a very different feel, tone and texture from the Will Trent books.

Last night I decided to revisit the lightning in a bottle that is Highlander. It is still one of my favourites after a few decades.

I may watch the third one tonight - Thereā€™s no way Iā€™m watching the second again.

Oddly, I only noticed today that Highlander III: The Sorcerer actually has an alternative subtitle of The Final Dimension. Well, taking 29 years to spot something is reasonably quick for a man.

Loved the first movie and also the TV show, up until the last season. Actually, I think I liked the TV show more than the movies. One of the first ā€œforumsā€ I joined was about the TV show, sometime around 1995. Ahhhhā€¦ the memories.

I havenā€™t watched it: better track down the series.

Isnā€™t it based around his cousin Duncan Macleod?

We just watched this and considering it was one I recorded on impulse quite enjoyed it.

Iā€™ll definitely add this to my watchlist: Looks dark, sadistic and batshit crazy.

I must admit that they way he said ā€˜Lisaā€™ triggered a memory:

After going through most major Blacksploitation movies, a few with titles I cannot repeat here, I pondered a break: Somehow, The Prophecy movies and series came to mind - particularly as I havenā€™t seen any of them.

I have no objection to spending many hours in bed with Christopher Walken.

The main female character certainly is and although you can foresee the plot it was entertaining.
Some similarities to the film Misery but it has enough differences to keep it moving.

Well, Iā€™ll give it a watch - Itā€™s now in my library.

I have a high tolerance for lower budget movies that didnā€™t workout when compared to Hollywood ones: Mrs Squirrel keeps asking to watch Matrix: Regurgitations and I flatly refuse as she enjoyed the first three.

Got distracted by questions about reality TV and this filled my mind as an allergic response:

I am only about 3/4 into this movie so far, but this exposes the truth behind the giant money making fraudster.

I had to buy the film, so let me know if you canā€™t access this and I will pm you the password.

Two great British character actors and a niche subject matter - Iā€™m definitely going to watch this.

As the Year of the Beast of Caerbannog is creeping in, itā€™s time to enjoy Asian horror before Iā€™m on Nian scaring duty. So, I have to start with the film which inspired so many others.
