Just finished a Sons Of Anarchy binge for the 3rd time. History Channel’s Vikings for the 2nd time.
And of course Yellowstone. I need a Beth in my life!
You’ve reminded me to finally sit down and watch them.
Tonight, as it is a romantic day will be Re-Animator night. Yes, Bride of Re-Animator could be considered a tad more romantic, though the first wins out for me. But the third, Beyond Re-Animator, does hold the title for the best credits - a zombie penis and rat having a shadow puppet fight is hard to forget.
Also, Re-Animator does win rip-off points as its theme is just the psycho theme with a few minor adjustments to timing and key.
No way man, I need to keep all my body parts intact and attached.
Damn, forgot how much fun Re-Animator was.
Well it really leans into the B-Movie madness. I think fighting the cat and the ‘giving head’ scenes makes it the finest of them all. Also, the cinematographer was constantly getting annoyed with trying to keep genitalia out of frame, so that always makes me chuckle.
Starting to become a huge Ti West fan.
Have to give accolades to Brandon Cronenberg.
He shares an impeccable eye for detail.
Much like his father David Cronenberg.

I like that Skarsgard actor.
War on Everyone and Mute were very good with him
Tonight’s choice is the 1978 Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
This was the second adaptation of the original story on film, and it has been remade, reimagined, and ripped-off many times. It also holds a special place in my little world of eccentric movies, particularly as W.D. Richter also wrote The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension and Big Trouble in Little China: Both of which are personal favourites of mine.
Of the rip-offs, Puppet Masters (not to be confused with the Puppet Master series) and The World’s End are worth a watch, though the latter is the weakest in the Cornetto Trilogy.
I was watching The Flash until i got to season 6 and found out i had to watch 4 other shows to find out what happens…
On to Clarkson’s Farm Season 2, i love watching English folk swear at each other.
After revisiting The Lord of Rings trilogy tonight’s choice will be the finest of all the Terminator rip-offs:
Eliminators.
This was a rather intriguing watch and well-worth watching.
I’ll be finally getting back to my theme for the month after a long week and I will choose The Beast for tonight: With this, Total Recall, Starship Troopers and Basic Instinct - We need Paul Verhoeven to make one more Hollywood movie.
He is the undisputed master of satirical action, so much so that many critics failed to even spotted it. And, if you haven’t guessed yet, tonight is the night of Robocop - The American Jesus: From the untouchable opening, then the violent death alone and finally risen to save all.
Started watching this. It was a bit slow at first but once you get past the character devs the story line gets quite interesting. I always liked Jean Luc the best out of all the Star Trek franchise captains.
