I watched this yesterday and enjoyed it. Easy yet compelling watching.
I always wonder if ‘based on a true story’ is a get out in case anyone portrayed decides to sue as Leicester University are not shown in a great light.
This dude has some AWESOME content brother. With your music background you’ll probably enjoy his vids.
I would assume that he’s already seen it: I can’t remember if @SessionDrummer introduced me to Rick Beato’s channel or if I introduced it to him.
Sadly, recalling the correct order of things when you argue with Time’s arrow leads to things getting muddled.
Tonight’s movie is one I always sing the praises of, so much so that I think I have already covered it in this thread.
If you are a fan of quirky movies, B-movies, or just have a functioning brain - then Nekrotronic is for you.
This is the only soft horror movie based around an app which isn’t shit.
This movie shows how you can make a Doom adaptation work without being hard-R.
The humour matches the characters and doesn’t feel forced.
It is how many would imagine how to make a true Ghostbusters 3.
Oh, and it has Monica Bellucci being Monica Bellucci.
The movie can be found on YouTube - I won’t include a link as each time I do videos get taken down.
Rick IS the man. Granular breakdown of everything.
Definitely. Even though I class myself as having no capacity in playing an instrument not attached to myself or another, I still find his examinations fascinating and informative. It’s a warming peeling of the layers rather than the cold academics of examining the Tristan chord.
GREAT SCENE!!
I still need to actually start watching it all - I do get a tad behind when it comes to TV.
Colony was a fun show to watch. Thanks for the memories.
Guga being the focus of a Chubbyemu examination. Generally we just get the infrequent appearance of Whang!
I assumed that he was a guest patient to add visual aspects for viewers to attach to.
Here’s one with Whang! as the patient:
Here’s a sample of Whang!
All of his videos need a warning as he generally covers extreme events in cultural knowledge.
So, sex with dolphins, the Jolly Rancher tale and One Man One Jar are the usual daily things for him (so a slightly younger and thinner version of me).
Last night was the glory of Back to the Future (a trilogy which has been bullet-proofed against remakes and adaptations). Tonight is Alien 3.
Those who follow this thread know that I am oddly obsessed with this film: it is the grand ‘what if’ movie, Frankly, I still imagine the monks on a wooden planet script as one I need to see (Like a medieval version of Dark City. If you haven’t seen that movie, its now time to correct your gap in knowledge).
Back to 3 and it glorious in both versions, with the forced cgi and rushed opticals (a term we old gits use for effects which are not in camera)which annoyed many. If you see what they were working on, you’ll spot how much the effects artists were screwed over: much like ADI in The Thing prequel.
The in-house ADI tests which studio insisted on covering with cgi.
Dark City. A glorious film and not just as many have many hairline:
Soon Alien tests:
Dark City is a great movie. “Shut it down!”
It is glorious, sadly The Matrix grabbed all the pop culture attention over this neo-noir masterpiece. One which is older than it and covers most of the same points with a sedate examination of them.
Also, a world of the bald suits me well.
Having Francis Urquhart, the original and more potent than the American Underwood, adds gravity to the slowly delivered lines.
