Sometimes they decide even more than that. I’ve known a woman who was walking on the beach when she met a guy with his Husky.
The Husky decided she’d rather live with the woman and refused to leave her. The guy tried everything he could but the Husky didn’t budge.
She ended up going home with the dog

Another sad day for my friend who got shot down for the 3rd time trying to get her Real ID. I wasn’t happy either because we were planning a ferry ride out of Boston Harbor and you need an ID for security measures. Her driver’s license expired during Covid and she didn’t get a notice and didn’t notice herself because of everything going on. She had every single document the guy at AAA said to bring, then got refused by the woman behind the counter. Wtf? This shouldn’t be so hard. She’s been to the RMV twice.

You don’t really need a Real ID, even to fly, you just have to complete an identity verification process, which could involve providing additional information like your name and address. If your identity can be confirmed, you will be allowed to proceed…

Thx Rocky. I think she wants a Real ID but I’ll let her know there are other ID verifications she can get. Right now, she doesn’t have anything that’s considered proof of ID, at least by the AAA agent today.

That sounds weird. My DL has had my wrong year of birth for 33 years because of their mistake that they refused to correct. I got my real I. D. and had the date corrected easy peasey.

An alternate viewpoint on the Real ID. Is it the gateway to digital surveillance ?? I can’t say, BUT, it is funny that (per the presenter), it is not called a Real Driver’s License …

Funny you should post this. Right after this happened I found information behind what the Real ID really is. I am pissed about how they mislead all of us into thinking we HAVE to have this. effem, my hair is on fire.
