Joel, it sucks to have so many health issues and sucks even worse when the doc you are seeing doesn’t really listen to you and their communication is poor. I am so lucky because I have a good relationship with my Primary Care Doc. She listens, communicates well and understands that I know my body (and emotions) better than she does. We work as a team on my health issues. Your experience is not unique and that makes me even more sad. Keep advocating for yourself and be willing to push back, politely, with any health care provider you see. Remember, they work for YOU, you don’t work for them.

This was about the time remember when u were razzing me about my disabled smoke alarm?? @anon44012888 we have like 6 more in our 1bed basement apartment so i was just messing around posting a pic of another disabled one to get a laugh out of you was all it was. I really am sorry to hear n see your health issues. I also have a paid per patient crap dr. They all get paid like that here in Alberta? Cuz u can tell it’s just a buisness to them and money making racket. They just want to cram in as many ppl as possible in a day n write scripts. It’s sad.

Yeah, I’m truly sorry… It’s a pretty miserable time and I was just drunk and depressed… I’m worried about everyone, the future and I’m concerned that a lot of people aren’t going to be prepared for what’s to come. It just seems weird to me, I try to reach out to family about what’s to come and they just say “too busy to pay attention”. It’s not just my family, it’s everyone, everyone should be aware of what lies ahead. We’re fortunate enough to be living in Alberta or even Canada for that matter, there’s running water, snow, etc…

I’d strongly urge people to learn about water filtration and purification, taps may not work in due time, so having a source of clean water will be essential, there’s water near by for a lot of Canadians in every province, but having drinkable is crucial knowledge. We have homes and what not, shelter is not going to be an issue but depending on money and thing of this nature it’s always handy to know how to start fires, so having bic lighters (work when wet, just dry the flint) etc… Striker sticks and knives. Learning to can for yourselves as well as having a supply off food, using these limited months to get growing food is good information to have if you live in a place that has all 4 seasons. Networking is key, getting people in line or prepared so we can help one another is pretty huge and just like any work place, the more you train people to be competent and not hide information about these things make people more competent to survive whatever life throws at them.

There’s a lot of information online, if you need to learn about things in your area you can forage or whatever, veggies and fruits are going to be key ingredients for survival. If you’re fortunate enough to have a gun license and the knowledge to hunt or live in an area to hunt or fish. Excellent, now’s the time to hit the lakes and come fall/winter hunting season, prepare to fill up your freezer and can some meats.
Pickling as well.

Again, I’m sorry, I wasn’t int the right state of mind and was not my intention to snap at you or go off on a rant. As of late my mind has been going 100 km a minute and I’m in constant state of anxiety. As for your post on the disabled fire alarm, lately the drugs I’ve been given haven’t even been helping me and I’m wondering if my doctor is trying to get me hooked or if I should take, from what I understand is a triple dose of this medication and if the inevitable happens I will have to go through withdrawals which can be incredibly difficult and often times lead to death if untreated. I’m not getting treatment now, so I’m really fearful of what’s to come if that source gets cut off.

I made a post about hydroponics and gardening, check out the information, kratky is pretty simple and from what I gather pretty fail proof given the steps. There’s some places in your city, I can post addresses, time to get some nutrients and things of this nature. LED lights are cheap, rubbermade containers or anything with a lid can be used, get your husband to get drills and hole saws and what, you can get net pots as well for them, but you can make them out of plastic containers.

Microgreens as well, start buying seeds now as there won’t be a need for them. They are reasonably cheap for the time being, also save some from your plants but I’d personally go with organic stuff for now to be sure things will grow.

Download a video downloader, like 4k downloader and save these gardening and survival videos on your computer and you’ll have yourself some know how… If you guys aren’t keen on this stuff already, take good mental note or write stuff down if you can’t retain it all. There’s a lot to take in and if you’re not keen on wilderness or things of that nature it’ll sound all so daunting. If you need to, you can PM me questions as I was growing up in the middle of the boreal at a young age and had a pretty knowledgeable grandfather and friends at the time, we spent a lot of times in the woods carrying out what we learned for our families about living off of the land, would even make trails and shelters all time of the year. It was a great time and a lot of people don’t have that experience so it is important that this knowledge is shared with one another.

Our energy supplier has decided to do a rate increase.

16.3% on usage tariffs
15.4% on supply charges

Now I have to work out if I can change from them to another supplier
or if we are locked into a contract! :poop:

I hate that my 3 times a year showers aren’t taking away the brown stains from my armpits, I think it’s a collection of the deodorant that I lather over to mask the smell of my failure and onions.

Pictures soon.
