We essentially had to have it re-rebuilt. Part of it anyways. When our solar energy system was installed after we took possession of the house, the guy hanging the Tesla Walls hit the P-trap for the washing machine. We didn’t realize there was a problem until we’d been in the house using the washer for almost 2 years(Gotta love water resistant LVP flooring) Memorial Day weekend of last year, the missus went to swap out a load of laundry and the floor started oozing water. Had to have the entire back corner of the house stripped down to stud, replaced 7 floor joists and a slew of insulation, not to mention the drywall and cabinets. $108K in damages and the company that did the solar install ghosted me for a few months until I took the nuclear option and filed a grievance with the CA Insurance commission.
The little green ones in the background represent trees that don’t exist here. In fact, other than cacti, there isn’t much green here at all. The white one in the foreground is a wind turbine of which we have hundreds. Had someone tell me that if we would just shut down all the “big fans” it wouldn’t be so windy here.
It’s nice to know that people still believe that the devices which harness an external force to generate energy also create more of the same force being used.
It ensures that me writing a six day creationist text will be profitable.
That my boy, Nikko, is coming closer to his end days and I may have to make that dreaded decision. Any experience with this is welcomed and appreciated…thanks
It is truly a gut wrenching situation and I am so so sorry you are going through this right now. Please remember, for them, it is slightly better a day too early than a day too late.
Oh my. Well taking Nikko to the vet and having an injection of sodium pentobarbital is the fastest way. You can tickle and comfort them but they with lose consciousness and die seconds after it is administered. Obviously having a break afterwards is needed. Frankly, my eyes are starting to tear up from recalling all the times I had to do this.
A sensible choice. I have followed the same approach when there aren’t legal issues.
I hope you take very good care of yourself over the next few weeks: Adjusting to a new normality can be a struggle - I’ve never agreed with the idea that things get better: you adjust as you can until other events distract you.
Muth, your love for Nikko will push you to do what’s best for him, and worst for you. I’ve gone through it a few times and it is NEVER easy, but it has been the best for my four legged friends/family. I cannot watch a friend suffer. You’ll know when it’s time. He’ll know it too.
We’re here if you have need for us.
