I the fact that I just got home on New Years after spending the night in the hospital. My 12 year old apparently accidentally swallowed a stick pin. WTF??? How does this even happen on accident? I need a drink now, BADLY!

Apparently, she was in bed and playing with the pin and dropped it in her mouth and reflexively swallowed it. Then she was embarrassed and afraid to tell and tried to puke it up then told her father after she got scared enough. I was at work. When I got the text and had to leave. I called bullshit, but the xray showed the pin clear as day. I still cant wrap my head around itā¦
It is just too stupid. I just cantā¦
She is fine, it is encased in poo in her colon after a rough and painful turn, thankfully.
