And back to that Black Cat for Pipe: that actually smells like the kind’ve flavour that’s complex and balanced enough to just vape it solo… smells great actually… whatever blueberry’s meant to be in it, all I’m smelling is a fresh general forest kinda smell with a tobacco that’s - different: not skanky and fake smelling, but not strong either… a subtle tobacco that’s unique to my nose.

Alright shower, then on with the new tanks.

MTL RDAs - fuckin’ yessss…

I’ve stated before you can build/wick any tank to be sub-ohm or low wattage MTL and while I stand by this because I’ve done in with my other drippers plenty of times - re-built them as MTL 10W tanks or DL 50W ones depending on which I want at the time - it’s nice to finally have a proper RDA that’s got the airflow options to allow low wattage MTL salts, which I’ll be filling it with for work as soon as my nic bottles arrive next week - one 500mL freebase and one 500mL salt.

True though: restrict airflow, change the drip tip to a smaller one, make your coil over 1ohm (what’s that “Super-ohm” I assume, by definition?) and any sub-ohm cloud-pig can be turned into a pussycat.

You know, I’m actually collecting flavours now much faster than I’m mixing with them… I hadn’t had any kind of decent go at mixing the order before last, when the last order arrived and I squirted one preliminary sorta mix from that and now this one’s here and I’ve no time to settle-in and create something pre-meditated with that.

How long does the Capella Cola take to fester?

Anyway so far the tank is as lovely as predicted: doesn’t seem to leak at all - I just need some stronger juice in there… flavour’s excellent, not that I had any complaints whatsoever about the Voopoo pod coils… what are they called (checks)… they’re Adapt TPP and I’ve had the 0.15 ohm in there the last few days: fucking superb flavour and vapor production and the other one came with the pod - think it wass 0.3 ohm - after two weeks straight changing juices back and forth (though always within the same creamy/custard/nutty profile) it never once started tasting burnt or gunked or anything - I only changed to the new 0,15 to see how it vaped.

I also love those the Voopop Drag X Plus for it’s auto-wattage select: online there’s a few people complain about the fact the chipset/mod changes to the right wattage for whatever ohm coil you screw into the sucker, but I fuckin love it - it’s not as though you cannot change the power to whatever you like; it only auto-detects when you change tanks or coils and it’s yeah awesome.

It’s not only the TPP coils of course: the mod detects any tank/coil you screw in the device and you never have to wonder which wattage to select for any given coil you change to - nor have to ever worry about forgetting to down the power for a MTL tank after using a subohm or RDA or RTA - just screw anything in and the mod starts you at a good power level.

Go have that shower then root around in the back of the cupboard for one of the high salt mixes I made weeks ago and use that until I have time to get out the scales and flavours again.

I was wondering how you’ll like this one. For me it was some unidentified berries, artificial; in the bottle you barely recognize a smell of tobacco (more kind of dirt, not a tobacco, but not unpleasant as it sounds), but you do recognize it in finger testing and in a mix it needs several weeks to develop).

I used it in couple of recipes and haven’t touched it ever since; meaning 3+ years at least. I could imagine it works well as a supporting flavor with other tobaccos if you’re going in that berry direction, but i don’t know where else i would use it. Overall, not a fan of this one (but i’m not a tobacco lover, so i’d wish to hear what someone more experienced in this direction show me the path).

For cola, get yourself Cola SSA and you won’t need Fizzy Sherbet. Been quite surprized with this one.

I love it just on initial smelling: as a smell it’s pretty complex and given the amount of custard and creamy shit I’ve been into for weeks now it’s like some weird, exotic alien spice in a bottle:)

Me either: I’ve had one or two tobacco juices and that Hangsten Arab Blend flavouring which was pretty good but ONLY compared to all the absolute shit that’s out there meant to be tobacco.

The problem is, that even tobacco’s that genuinely smell and vape like a freshly opened pouch of your favourite tobacco, it’s onbly ever going to trigger the memory of actual smoke and right there - every tobacco flavour or juice just ends up being a poor substitution for the genuine article.

That’s my reaction to tobacco flavours anyhoo, and I’m pretty sure it’s the same reason so many people don’t like tobacco juices/flavours - even if they don’t conscioulsy recognise that’s why.

But, I’m not completely opposed and though I generally steer clear of them, I’m still of the opinion that a decent tobacco flavour can still enhance flavour profiles that have nada to do with tobacco provided the tobacci used in small enough amounts to only act as feint complimentary note that adds something to the custard, desert, fruit whatever you’re mixing.

I got no berry really, but I’ll wipe some on my wrist like perfume and do a body-heat test in a minute and see… I’m sure too there’s a few flavours that really could be used as cologne or perfume yknow - many are potent enough, and mixed into a scent the PG would not evap off too quickly, though it’d be a pretty mild cologne at that.

I’m glad you are pleased with the Black Cat and I hope you enjoy it once it’s had a good old steep.
I have the Vapefly Holic and it’s a lovely little RDA with lots of airflow options with those little screws inside. I bought a tube of Vandy Vape 0.7ohm Ni80 MTL Clapton coils and they work a treat in there, Coiloligy make some good ones too.

I’ve wrist-warmth smelled it again and though it definitely does smell artificial, it’s a nice artificial: kinda flavored marzipan nice though I actually hate marzipan itself so that’s probably not the breat comparison :thinking:

Hope this tank is durable…

It appears to be well enough made and there’s no obvious design epic-fails I can see but yknow that doesn’t mean there’s not something waiting that can’t be spotted new: everything except the o-rings is stainless steel, and the o-rings can obviously be replaced even after the spares are gone with any 22mm rubber rings the right thickness.

I used it all day today at work in the bathrooms of the rooms I did, with almost no vapor and a nice tight draw I only had an older mix of salts I don’t like much, but I’ll mix some more next week,… what, working Thursdays through Sundays, the weekends for me are now Monday to Wednesday.

So Monday->Wednesday I’ll get out the flavours and make like that cat in the meme.

And iunno: this chick inspects each suite right after I’ve finished and moved onto the next suite, so I almost can’t believe she hasn’t smelled the custardy goodness that I do blow up towards the ventilation fan in the bathroom, but we all know vapor sortta sinks so it would have to linger in the room a bit, but if she’s noticed she has not mentioned it or acted like there’s a problem.

Long as she’s got no issue, I’ve got no issue but I remember telling her at the end of the first day "This 6 hours straight without nicotine bullshit… we’ve gotta find a way around THAT…" to which she’d said most people at the hotel smoke and a lot use gum while they’re there, to which I replied "Well I’ve got a cupboard full of nicotine and flavours, but no gum" then went on kinda thinking out load about how I guess I could order a little stealth vaporizer or pod that puts-out hardly any vapor… get in the bathroom with the fan on and it’s not like it SMELLS like smoke: smells good - nobody will know.

She just sortta nodded as I said all that until she had a chance to change the subject, so I’m not really clear on whether she’d go full-bitch if she actually caught me vaping in the rooms I’m cleaning but so far, so good :slight_smile:

Actually, given it’s a full month minumum fester-time, I still really have to get some that Black Cat started in VG tonight so it’s simmering at the back the cupboard, then I’ll mix some 50mg/mL Bavarian Cream, Cola+Sherbet and… well whatever other flavours I’ve got recently I can’t remember them all offhand.

Oh, plus some that Cap Caramel v1 with the VTA Cigar Leaf: just for a caramel tobacco that might taste vapable or might not: the only caramel tobacco I’ve had was that fcuking stupid VAPO “Alpha” 50/50 Caramel Tobacco, and that was just putrid… ALL VAPO juices are disgusting actually…

Long before I ever thought about mixing - back when Killer Custard was my favourite - I remember trying about 8 of VAPO’s juices from Strawberries & Cream to their ludicrously labelled ‘custard’ - ludicrous, because it tasted the least like custard of ANYTHING I’ve vaped and even just adding ANYcustard concentrate from any reputable brand you’ll get a custard that shits on the VAPO one.

Tried their shit in both the 50:50 Alpha (higher PG) blends AND the standard 70/30 ones and god… so terrible.

It annoyed me at the time, but now I’ve seen how easy it is to make things that taste good I find it just completely inexcusable: that an online vaping store would even bother to stock juice that tastes THAT horrid and how, when they can order any flavours they like, they order the cheapest, nastiest fucking rubbish they can when it would’ve been just as easy to mix with quality ingredients… especially with the kinda wholesale pricing they would get with Capella, FlavorArt, TFA etcetera.
