My sister is currently (and has been for almost an hour now) in a video Facebook chat with my 10 year old daughter. she’s loving it.

Sister is big on makeup and she’s giving daughter a tutorial.

Daughter is bragging on her diorama (school closure overlaps the due date for that, unfortunately) that she’s rightfully proud of.

Daughter’s 1800s milliner’s shop diorama is adorable. It’s a top down, 3D view of the inside of a dressmaker’s shop in colonial times. Complete with miniature scissors (made out of 26g ss316L coil wire :smirk:), pin cushion, and measuring tape.

She chose that particular vocation for her project because I make clothes and stuff as a hobby and she knew I’d have some ideas to help her flesh out her shop…

She did an amazing job!

I think a photograph of said diorama is in order!

My son and daughter-n-law just closed on their first home together in Colorado.
At closing, the agents gave them this gift basket.

I told them I think that Real Estate agent makes too much commission, obviously.

Day 26 of the worldwide plague. I don’t know how the rest of the world is doing or even my community for that matter. There is no electricity, no services, no water, no news, radio stations are static only. Luckily, it has been raining a lot. My sons and I collect the rain water in empty coffee cans, boil it, let it cool then drink when we need it. We were able to dig a deep hole in the back yard and turn it into an outhouse for waste.
I see my neighbors some. We’re all looking tired and hungry. We wave and look at each other only. I think we all look at each other as a meal rather than a neighbor.
Recently, our cat disappeared. I suspect one of my neighbors but no proof yet my cat became his meal.
For now we have food. However, going to the local HEB is not an option. Rumor is it’s controlled by mutant zombie teens that are insane with illness due to not being able to socialize, check Snapchat, or play video games.
My neighborhood does have a pond in Meander Park and we really need to bathe but there are Walkers guarding the pond.
To pass the time my boys and I target practice shooting Walkers in our neighborhood. Sadly, some were friends, neighbors before they turned.
Will write in my journal as I can…

My daughter has 4 cats. Two blind, one on Prozac, and one with 3 legs.
Yesterday she adopted a pooch. Shelby.

Beezer (one of the blind cats)
What the hell is this thing in my favorite bed?

This pretty much sums up Elsie’s (the other blind cat) opinion of the whole matter.

I don’t know, but the wife came home with 8 rolls of toilet paper yesterday. Everywhere I checked was out of stock…

Has anyone thought of party supplies stores as a source of toilet paper? You can get it in any color to celebrate your mood…
