Fired up the new woodstove in my new house today! Painters were on hand, doing the last of the touchups, electricians installed the main room ceiling fan and will have the last work buttoned up tomorrow. Final inspection should happen on Friday and then we can start moving back home!

Hey Smoky, before you go. I think I was reading something on the fangirl site about you saying you test all your flavors in vg. Is that right? Can you tell me what the benefit of not adding any pg would be?

I do, bare nakid vgā¦ no nic no nothingā¦ the reason is I am pg sensitiveā¦ have been for all my lifeā¦ certain tooth paste, shampoos and oils are a no go for meā¦ I get hives bad. Allergist certified. I can tolerate it better these days but most the time peg400 and vg makes up my baseā¦
I keep my test flavors in nothing but vg, so I get the true taste, even tho both pg and peg400 are both tastelessā¦ itās just a habit with meā¦ and I donāt waste my peg400ā¦ I have known folks that add the full base and nicā¦ but it really is not needed for a solo test batch.
