A district judge in Weimar has acquitted a man who was to be fined for violating the Corona contact ban by celebrating his birthday with at least seven other parties from a total of eight households, six guests too many under Thuringiaâs Corona ordinance. So I had my second cataract surgery today and prior to the actual surgery the anesthesiologist comes over and tells me that the anesthesia will not put me completely under and that Iâll still be able to understand and answer the surgeon during the operation.
She then tells me that I may not remember much of the procedure as time goes by as thatâs one of the effects:
Me: so my memory of all this may fade afterwards?
Her: Yes.
Me: Does that mean you can molest me and I wonât remember?
Her: We would never do that!
Me: Not even for $20?
Her: No! I wouldnât think of doing it for less than $50.

Iâve been known to do stupid stuff under anasthesia. Once I was recovering in the post op after extensive oral surgery and they were playing oldies in the room and they started playing Tom Jonesâ âItâs Not Unusualâ, so I made a fist and stuck it down my pants and sang along. This was after I called the oral surgeon âBarney Rubbleâ in between fits of laughter. My ex-wife was completely mortified.
I never went back.

Congrats man. Mine were done last Feb and I really donât know the words to describe how being able to see again restored so many aspects of my life that I thought were just gone. I opted for the computer guided procedure with multifocal corrective lens implants and within days could read the fine print on nearly anything. Amazing and I hope your results are the same.

Thanks brother! The first one was a breeze, but this one has been painful. Tylenol helps but only for a short while. Canât really test the vision yet because itâs watering like Niagra, but tomorrow is anoither day and weâll see what it brings.

They gave me steroid drops on the next day visit. Worked wonders for the pain and headache. They explained that the fluid levels in my eyes had to stabilize which takes a few days.
Yeah I got four different drops that I have to take. Of course theyâre taken at different intervals so I have to write them all down. Tomâs of Maine should come up with an all in one so my life would be less complicatedâŚ
I would have loved to vote for her this election and Ben Carson last election. But oh no!, we got choices like Trump, Hillary, and Biden. The scum always floats to the top.
