Hehe, we’ve got a LOT more to go. I have to go re-check my racks, to see how many more I can fit in there. I’m going to burn it all in the cast iron insert. Some of the tree was just wicked with burls, knots, twists, and it’s been hard splitting.

Wow, I LIKE that new fence. Up here, things aren’t as relaxed for open burns, and I wish it was. Maybe I need MORE property. I’ll have to look into that, OR, a different area LOL.

she, the neighbor, wanted the same fence as i built for myself on 2 sides, you can see part of the back half. i also did the other side of her yard fence…
i am on 1/4acre in the older part of town. many people around here burn.
the back fence, shed, deck, patio, sliding patio door = i built all of it.
that big tree is a pain in my ass.

Thanks for saying that. I still have a handful I’d like to get to fill out my blank spots, but other than those, I feel like I have a stash that will fill my needs (and some of my “wants”) for quite a while. I really appreciate the supportive environment of this forum and the folks here.

Absolutely adorable. My supervisor brought her 9 week old puppy to the office on Thursday (we are VERY dog friendly) and I was smiling all day.

Yes Sir, they are… when i was designing my fence i wanted something strong, inexpensive, and it “had” to look good on the “bad” side, because that was the side I would be looking at. you know those 3 rail fence paanels you get at home depot & menards, those are butt ugly, imo. so i scoured the web, i found nothing i liked, 1000’s of pics, nothing. so i invented that design. i think it looks better than the “good” side 
. AND, its very inexpensive, those are Thick Deck deck boards from Menards for the rails, face screwed to 10’ 4x4 posts. then just screw down the 6" dog ear. i tried and tried to get her to give me the bad side, so it matched my other 2 bad sides, but she insisted on taking the bad side 
. there is a not good’ish thing about the design, the middle of the dog ear pickets, between the raails, not all that strong and when the dog ears warp it doesn’t look perfectly straight, but overall it looks just fine and is plenty strong enough.
there is no burning day here. i have not had the cops called on me for burning. but i think as long as the cops are not called its game on !

You gotta laugh. We had a State election a few weeks ago and one of the seats up for grabs was won by a guy who’s living in Seattle working as a senior engineer for an American tech firm (Amazon I think, not sure). What makes me smile is that he only got 98 votes which is just 0.20% (yes, zero point two percent) of the votes cast and he actually won 
. Crazy I know but it’s all to do with the “preference voting” crap we have here. Regardless, I reckon good on him. Might shake the State Gooberment up a bit. 98 votes out of roughly 49,000 cast and he wins. My mind is officially blown

I know right? Don’t know if my sense of humour is warped but I find it very amusing that the “system” is totally wack. I betcha Wilson is laughing about it too. Pretty crazy way to land a “part-time” job that pays $156,000 a year 
Yeah, “daylight saving” has always been a hurdle for us in WA (Western Australia – not Washington 
). Not a fan either way but for some reason we always vote “NO” when a referendum is held to decide if we want it or not. WA and QLD (Queensland) are the only two states who don’t do it, everyone else does. Meh, whatever…
