@KiwiPete …WOW !!! 4 years is fantastic. Amazing how time can add up when we find a sufficient substitute for cigarettes. Congrats and I hope you do something special to celebrate your 4 year anniversary. Vaping was my “last gasp” attempt at quitting cigarettes and has changed my health for the better. Keep on keepin’ on !
I bought a flippy fish for my kitties aaaannnnd the dog is playing with it.
Big congrats to those with recent vape-birthdays! Way to go.
A great post for National Pet Day. Thanks !!
i bought one for my older girl, cat. she started to play with it. then it surprise popped her in the nose, that was the end of that.
awwww, kiitah…My baby girl kitty, she’s not a baby but part munchkin, so very tiny. Was having a ball with it. Then my other large kitty smacked her. He bullies her all the time. Now she won’t go near it. Of course, neither does he! The little asshole! Got this awesome big cat house/tree thing and she is not allowed on it. I rescued a ferrel kitty last year and he’s a BIG boy, ya he don’t put up with that nonsense. Danny ( the bully ) has learned to share with him.
My animals are my joy and they give me endless pleasure. Even the little assholish one! lol
That’s what I told my kid’s when they texted to check up on me. 12 hours after the shot I went into full reaction of flu symptoms. 48 hours later I stopped reacting . Like someone flicked a switch. Had Covid now the first shot with one more to go.
I smiled today. Background check has passed and I’m officially starting a new, better job at the beginning of May.
I had no reaction to my first shot, other than tiredness for a couple of days. The second one was as you described. Fever, chills and body aches (every muscle in my body hurt). It lasted about 30 or so hours and then nothing. Just like you said, like someone flipped a switch. Because I knew what was happening, I wasn’t really bothered…just rolled with it and slept a lot.
my mod from Sourcemore has surfaced. thee new wait = 1, 2, 4, 92 days, who knows.
I had Covid-19 last May into. June. My doctor is a big fan of the plasma transfusion therapy and I had antibodies 9 months later in my system. The way I figure it my first shot is equal to most people’s second shot. Will see how I react to shot #2.
Felt fine on my first day, the second day I had the mother of all headaches that lasted about 4 hours. 3rd day was the bodyaches and a little bit of fever, then nothing but some sneezing the morning of the 4th. It was like little mini flus. Sleeping helped a lot.
Everyone tells me that should have happened after the second shot, not the first. Kinda worried about the second shot now.
It could be you have had Covid-19 earlier. My wife gave it to me and she was asymptomatic after getting it at work. Me not so much. Sick as a dog.
If you were infected your body may have produced antibodies.
Everyone is a bit different, and it may be that you will have less of a reaction on the second dose. I know a few ex-coworkers that experience it that way. That is my hope for you.
Thanks. Gotta ride it out no matter what.
Hubs and I got the first shot last month and we both had muscle aches, headache, chills, and I think that’s it. Lasted about 2 ½ days.
When you put me, and @SmokyBlue in the same room, at the same time, you never know what’s going to happen.
Always a blast to have you on the call Smoky, always !!
Today, up in Massachusetts, 5 of my best friends were together at a pub to say goodbye to George who is moving to Colorado soon. These are guys that I’ve known since I was 15. I haven’t seen them in 5 years. We had a nice talk on the speakerphone. It made me a bit sad, but also happy at the same time. I miss them so very much.
New ride? I’ve got a 2006 and it’s been great.
