Likewise @natbone. Got nailed with a widow (not the two legged kindā¦the 8 legged kind) when I worked in the gold mines in RSA. I kill every damned one venomous or not!!

Yep. Brown Recluse and Black Widows get the squish in this house! All other spiders are free to roam but those two can fuck ALL THE WAY OFF.

FINALLY got to go see my ma this past weekend. Itās the first road trip post-COVID. The drive was beautiful, the upper coast of CA is about 40 degrees cooler than my section of the state. Plus, got to watch the craziest fireworks show Iāve ever seen! Three solid hours of whiz boom bang EVERYWHERE. Crescent City really knows how to light up the fog on the 4th! (All fireworks were shot from the beach, harbor or directly adjacent) I havenāt been able to lift my right arm for the past two days(THANKS, chronic pain) but Iād hop into the driverās seat in a heartbeat to make that run without a second thought!

The hubs and I donated blood today. There is a critical shortage in Oklahomaās supply and the shirts they were giving away were really cute so we figured, āwhy notā.
He ended up being eligible for a double red blood cell donation with his pancake batter blood, lol. I bleed water so I could only do whole blood but itās okay.
With his donation, he can help almost twice as many people as my donation and Iām proud of him for that!

Reminds me of being in the military when a sergeant would come around and tell us that we had all volunteered to give blood and to get our asses over to the hospital.
