I guess to a bunch of people. I’ve hated his management since day 1. Including the “successful” World Cup run. We scored a goal in the second minute and he told the team to defend for the next 88.
Boring and wrong.
He doesn’t use substitutes. Ignores youth players mostly and generally makes bad decisions.
His previous management experience is being fired from the monstrous world class elite Middlesbrough club.
One, she was constantly looking at him as if dieing to say “Mr, let go of my hand!! I’ve got to pee!!” (her eyes pleading: can’t you see me doing the wee-wee two step?)
Second, that song being sung to a child.
Even Jerry Lee Lewis’ wife-to-be was older than her when he started singing to her. (I think she was 13 or thereabouts) /shudder
I was beginning to think I should be looking for a priest’s collar… lol
I now return you to your innocent humor!
(Had this been the 70’s, I wouldn’t have thought twice about it. My, how things have changed.)
Just when you think you’ve got it ALL figured out …
Had a client who orders only 120ml bottles from me, send a request in for his next order. I typically use black cosmo bottles with twist caps, and I use black because 120ml bottles take longer to burn through, and wanted to limit UV exposure and minimize oxidation. Well, the client texted in an order, and asked if I had any more clear 120’s as he liked the flavor better. He stated that in the black bottles, even after 3 week steep, the liquid was “clear-er”, and he liked it better when it was more amber colored in the clear bottles.
It’s a psychosomatic effect that has been studied since the 60’s: From coloured foods and drinks to different coloured sparkling water. But, people will still insist that each loop in their fruity cereal has a different flavour, especially if you tell them that the green is a specific fruit.
I couldn’t watch past the 2m mark. It was just too ‘strange’ for me.
He might as well have been singing “I wanna kiss you all over” by Exile, I still would have been tripped up by the song choice in the same way that I was here.
@Sprkslfly I think you are being far too PC my friend.
IMHO I think was beautiful, and in no ways inappropriate, an amazing example of engaging with another person and lifting their life up, despite all the normal prejudices of race, age or gender.
I reckon he lifted that little girls heart up, and made her day.
I think our friend Lostmarbles nailed it.
I’ve just gotten pretty cynical.
I also think Letitia was right. I didn’t watch far enough (obviously). But with so much stupidity running rampant, and all the negativity we’re bombarded with many times over daily, it’s for me hard not to be anymore it seems.
It’s also the same reason (I think) that most of us come to this thread, for a much needed laugh, smile, or something to break up the barrage of negativity.
So from that respect, I apologize for putting a momentary damper on that objective (for whomever I may have).
That is a beautiful moment and also takes me back to the greatest ever rendition of the star spangled banner performed. Whitney Houston just nails it, the most memorable for me, everyone just stopped and listened.
