I almost ended up giggling to myself while testing beef vape recipes. I’ve definitely made a seasoned roast in pastry but it’s oh so wrong in so many ways.

This may sound like blasphemy, but it made me smile to NOT buy anything during the Labor Day sales. I realized I have a good stock of everything I need and most of what I want. I’ve come to realize I am a fellow with somewhat simple tastes in certain areas of my life.

Have enough gear. I could PIF half of it and not know any was missing!

Had a thunderstorm today in Georgia. I listened intently as the thunder came closer to the house. It was getting very close and then I looked out window as a strike hit in the backyard no more than 50 yards from the house. It made me and the boys literally jump as it was so astoundingly loud and sharp… It was an explosion and at the same time we heard the crackling sound that lasted about two seconds. I’ve never heard that sound in my life. My boys were shocked and nervous and the cat ended with his head up his ass trying to get away. After I got over the shock of it, I was quite pleased to have experienced that. I don’t need to ever do it again though.

Glad it didn’t hit closer to home. I saw that happen when I was a kid in Wyoming. Thunder, strike, and brief flame on a pine tree. My aunt told me it was a sign from God and I better straighten up. The thunder and lightning made my ears ring and I think she gave me PTSD. I’ll never forget how fast it all went down though.

I love that your cat has a recycled box for their use! We have packing paper stuffed in an old shipping box that we call her “paper bath” because she eases into it as though it were a hot bath…lol
