Being 67 means I grew up with BS. As a young teenager there was a Trinity of BS, LZ & Deep Purple, the best “hard rock” that I was aware of. Though I moved away from BS as I grew I was always aware of their music.

That video brought a tear to my eye. Never in my life would I have said that BS could have that affect. The passing of Bowie and Petty are the only others to have done the same with me.

I thought how it was incredibly sad that the people who comprised my history, my life and some of my fondest memories have left. However, I understand how fortunate I am to have made it to my age. Growing old is a blessing.

If this mutant fishfinder were a coin, it would probably be a 1955 double die Lincoln penny. The xs in 741xs means that the sonar capabilities are downvision (Garmin calls it ClearVu) and traditional broadband which is what the blue 8 pin port is for, but this one also has a 12 pin orange port which means that it had sidevision capability snuck into it. The 741xs was in production & being sold about 10-12 years ago. I didn’t sell this serial number, but none of the (before or after) serial numbers I sold back then had any indication of being sidevision capable according to the transducers sold with them. I believe this was about the time period when Garmin was in litigation with Humminbird over downvision copyright, so any switcheroo may have been a result of that. Regardless, there can’t be more than a handful of these in the world and probably none in this good a condition

This was yesterday, but I’ve been riding again. I’m half leasing a friends horse at the same barn

And I received this gift from the lady who owns the barn - beautifully crafted from Liberty’s tail. I had no idea she cut some after I did
